Movement strategies to live life pain free, improve function and return to your active life style. Resonance Physical Therapy specializes in Scoliosis treatment providing one on one intensive rehab for Scoliosis. Scoliosis is the twisting and turning of the spine away from where it typically should be.
During pregnancy as the baby grows inside mother's uterus, the baby can put pressure on the bladder which sits in front of the uterus. This pressure can cause an increased urinary urgency, need for urination more frequently than usual, and in combination of weak pelvic floor muscles can cause urinary leakage.
These conditions are a sign of pelvic floor problem and can be relieved by pelvic floor treatments. Urine leakage is never normal at any time in life whether it is during pregnancy, after childbirth or after menopause. The same also goes for leaking urine with laughing, coughing, or sneezing-no matter how hard you are laughing or sneezing.
Seems like everyone has constipation these days. Having constipation means that you are not having a bowel movement everyday. Technically, not having atleast 3 times a week is constipation. However, for optimal health if you eat everyday you should eliminate everyday. Sometimes the stool is hard and lumpy which makes it hard to eliminate, or having to straining to eliminate.

As someone who has been struggling with the aftermath of a knee injury with surgical repair that completely exacerbated the pains associated to my scoliosis - I now for the first time - in a very long time, have the knowledge and tools to be nearly completely pain-free and visibly much more aligned than I have been in years. Dr. Sandy's hands-on therapy coupled with specific exercises to help with my scoliosis condition has been the best thing I've done for myself, probably ever!

Sandy at Resonance is truly an example of you get what you pay for. If your looking for a run of the mill therapist who will give you exercises you can find on the internet then she is not for you. But if your looking for someone who will truly take the time to understand your physical limitations and help you by designing a path for you to get better then do yourself a favor and give her a call. Yes she’s expensive but she’s worth every penny. I saw other therapists first but all I got were cookie-cutter exercises and stretches. Sandy really dives in to what ails you and provides a holistic

Let me tell you by starting that Sandy is God sent. My daughter and son both got diagnosed with scoliosis and my son also with kyphosis. I started researching what I could do to help them not to progress if at all possible and also do a preventative exercises to help them build up strength. I started my research to what is a best exercises for something like this and came across Shroth therapy. From everything I read and researched this was the way and also I found out that there was a data base to find the best Physical therapist who specializes in Shroth and who also has the proper licensing

Prior to visiting Resonance Physical Therapy, I had sought help for scoliosis from various chiropractors and physical therapist for over 24 years. Sandy has proved to be the most knowledgeable and caring out of all whom I have known. Her personalized care helped me learn better how my body works, how to use it, care for it, and strengthen it. I graduated physical therapy two centimeters taller, with a helpful exercise plan, and growing strength for my daily tasks. I think Sandy’s one-to-one care paired with her knowledge, skill, and personalized application is what makes her practice excellent

I am so glad I found Dr. Sandy to help me through my postpartum journey. After a difficult birth, I knew I needed to seek additional care for my pelvic floor. I struggled for the first 3 months postpartum not understanding what had happened to my body. My OB was great throughout my pregnancy journey, but after the birth, I felt I wasn't getting the care I needed for the issues I was experiencing. My first interaction with Dr. Sandy was on the phone after I had left an inquiry message on her office line. Not only did she call me back within a day, but she talked with me on the phone for almost

I had my C5/6 disks replaced in September and I had lingering pain that wouldn’t go away, so I started going to Sandy. I was nervous before going because I’ve tried everything to try to get rid of the pain, and PT hasn’t always helped. Before my first appointment Sandy called me to walk through everything we would be doing and instantly made me feel comfortable. Sandy is one of the kindest people and listened carefully to all of my concerns. Each step of the way she checked in the see what worked and what didn’t, and knew what type of adjustments to make when things didn’t work. Each

I went to see Sandy for hip pain in December 2020. This was during the pandemic so what would have been normally just about treating my hip also required her to take precautions per the CDC guidelines. She made sure these were followed strictly including hand washing, etc. What I found exceptional was her approach to the diagnosis which was very thorough and methodical. Once she figured out what the reason was for my hip pain, she put in place exercises for me to follow. She is very knowledgeable and holistic in her approach and she loves what she does. She listens to you carefully about what is

My daughter's post-op scoliosis surgery left her spine straight, but tilting to the side from the hip. It was with great dismay that I realized our scoliosis journey was not done. It turns out that there are very few qualified Schroth therapists in CA qualified to work with post-op scoliosis patience. For once, luck was on my side, and I was able to locate Sandy in the Sacramento area.
In just three months, Sandy was able to guide my daughter through a therapy regime that dramatically improved her posture and physical appearance. Sandy's passion for her work shows. It's refreshing how she brings

My 12-year-old daughter has scoliosis and was in pain every single day until we went to Sandy. Now my daughter is doing PT exercises each day and the pain is only occasional. Sandy is great with kids. She's playful and fun, and good at getting them motivated. I enjoyed every minute of my daughter's PT and it was really worth driving from Chico to get treatment. I highly recommend Sandy to anyone who needs help with scoliosis. She's very knowledgeable, experienced, and friendly.
