Our goal at Studio 68 for Dance and Performing Arts in Wilkesboro is to inspire excellence in our students by providing a quality dance education in a happy, safe environment.

Through classes, performances, and individual attention, children are given the opportunity to follow their own dreams, whether to dance competitively or just for fun. Our students will grow and improve, not only as dancers, but as people, while developing a lifetime of skills and memories. Students of all ages, abilities, and backgrounds will benefit from the caring, professional atmosphere provided at Studio 68.
Services
Pointe classes are available to intermediate and advanced students age 11 and older with at least 3 years of serious ballet training. Students must continue to be enrolled in a weekly ballet class. Pointe class can be taken only with instructor permission. Jazz has several styles, from blues to pop to hip-hop.
For 2 and 3 year old students we offer 'Baby Ballet'. Your dancer will develop coordination, motor skills, and classroom behavioral skills. These classes include an introduction to basic ballet, song & dance routines, and basic acrobatic skills. They meet for 30 minutes. For 4 olds, we offer classes that engage in fun, imaginative activities designed to develop motor skills, coordination, musicality, and confidence.
Our studio home is a dream come true. With 3 classrooms (2 that measure 30' x 50') we have the ability to offer numerous classes, age-groups and ability levels to our dancers. Our flooring is solid oak, and is "floating" - meaning that it's suspended over the concrete sub-floor by rubber. This creates a much safer dance environment for the knees and joints of our students.
Our goal has always been to help parents raise great dancers and even better people. Studio 68 Cares supports that mission. We hosted 3 Kindness Camps over the summer and hope to continue this trend quarterly during the school year. We choose a theme - such as food insecurity or animal rescue - and partner with organizations in the community to learn more about what they do and how we can help.
