Welcome to the Myer Country Motel where for over 76 years our standards of innkeeping excellence have been our trademark. Nestled among the Pocono Mountains of North Eastern Pennsylvania, the cottages sit on four acres with blue spruce and white pine trees lining the courtyard. The Myer Country Motel was established in 1945 by Ralph and Matilda Myer.
Ralph remarried in 1952 to Audubon Winfield and they together continued to run the motel well into their 80's until their daughter, Audubon Cox, took over in 1975. She brought her energy and knack for decorating to the motel to give it a country home feel. Many people comment that this is their "home away from home".

I really enjoyed my stay at The Myer Country Motel.
Often, when you hear motel, your mind might jump to an old run down complex. However, The Myer Country Motel is actually a quaint property with individual cabins serving as motel rooms. I found this to be extremely surprising, as I have only ever stayed once in another hotel of the same style. The room itself can be described as cozy, perhaps even "cute."
Moreover, the service here is extremely accommodating. For example, I had a sudden change of plans, and they were able to promptly re-book me for a later date. Additionally, I had

This was one of my favorite motel stays ever! Super cozy environment and location. Checking in was very quick and easy, the owners have a sweet dog who greeted us. We had room #18 and it was so beautiful! It's a few minutes away from the town (Walking distance when it's warm definitely! It was cold so we drove.) At night we had pizza delivered to the room from a local pizzeria. It was a great stay.

We stayed in the newly refurbished Cabin 3. Now we're talking granite countertops in bathroom vestibule and firm new beds....NOT SQUEAKY AND VERY COMFORTABLE. These cabins are very spacious with toilet and shower in separate enclosure. There are coffee pots and refrigerators. This is a good place to stay for several days because the nearby town of Milford is really cute and small but has everything, including good antiques shops, decent restaurants and Grey Towers historic mansion. Plenty of electrical outlets and new air conditioners. Best of all, each cabin has a front porch that faces

LOVE, love, love this place! We have stayed here on 3 different occasions, the first for 3 or 4 nights. It was wonderful! Cute little cabin in a woodsy area, clean, old fashioned, reasonably priced. The first morning, 2 deer and some bunnies were within 75' of our door. We met up with some friends and went to the Rodeo, hit some nice restaurants and shops in Milford. The next 2 times we stayed there were one-nighters on our way to our friends' in PA. It is just so homey at The Myer Country Motel. Can't wait to go back.

My family are vacationing in the Poconos and we decided to stay in Milford for a couple of nights.
I loved the photo descriptions of The Myer Motel, so we decided to give it a try.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay! Refreshingly, the photos were not a better looking version!
The room was very clean and the front porch was inviting. The beds were very comfortable and the bed linens were fresh and not showing signs of overuse.
Best part? The shower!!! No shortage of hot water here and the water pressure was so delicious!!! I think I pruned up a little because I didn't want to

I have stayed in the Myer Country Motel over the last 10 years.
It is a gracious, immaculate and comfortable home away from home.
The little cottages are cozy and quiet. I always feel safe in this private setting so close to Milford town center.
The owners are so kind and will go out of their way to make sure you are happy with arrangements, answer questions or help find solutions to any situation.
This is an old school way of business that is hard to find anywhere . It is a little gem in Milford.
I would recommend this Motel to everyone.

I've stayed there twice (two separate occasions May and June 2017 and for one night each time). The rooms are little cottages (no kitchen but each of my rooms had dorm fridges and micros). Very clean, comfortable, carpeted mid-century decor which was very pleasant updated with flat TV and remote. Bathrooms were spotless, good, strong water supply, clean water. Your car is parked right outside your room (cottage) which is very convenient. Excellent location not just to visit Milford but also to come and go (Rts 209, 6 and I-84), friendly staff, quiet. I actually came to their website today

Excellent stay at the Moyer Motel. Price was 1/3 of other inns in the area. Room was and private as all rooms are neat small houses (not dingy cabins).
Heat worked well, hot shower, private parking right outside the door. Comfortable bed and plenty of TV channels.
Also, I was able to take a short walk downtown for dinner and cocktails. There are numerous restaurants down there, but if you want something close and quick there is a great fish fry restaurant to the north of the Motel.

I have always stayed at the Myer and have always enjoyed my stay. Love the set up and the fact that you have your own personal cottage. Very nice and welcoming staff.. Clean and I am happy to see that they have upgraded the balcony chairs as well as the flat screen tv with lots of channel options.
I would only say that it would be nice if they created some type of loyalty program so that you could possibly earn a free night depending on how much you visit them. Just a thought...
Would also be nice if they would set up a volleyball net on the property to give us something to do ..

THE PROS:
Ok, so we wanted a place to set up base-camp while we spent the majority of the day hiking. Our cabin was very spacious. We're 2 photographers who bring lots of stuff. We certainly weren't lacking space to move around.
1. Overall, the cabin was clean'ish.
2. There's a larger-sized mini fridge.
3. The closet was a nice size.
4. And a real desk to work at.
5. There's 2 guest chairs.
6. There's a screen door.
7. There's a porch and 2 chairs.
THE CONS:
It's beyond old, outdated, and worn out. This cabin has NOT been updated in a loooooong time. It

Stayed here for the first time a couple weeks ago. Nice little place with reasonable rates and very clean. Older TV's in the rooms but they were fine and received lots of channels. Owners were very nice and accommodating. The complimentary coffee at 8am in the office is above average...what a pleasant surprise!
The couple in the room next to ours was loud, drunk and obnoxious, so we were moved to our own cabin which was bigger.
We would not hesitate to stay here again.

When extra guest come up for the weekend this SHOULD BE a very suitable place for them to stay. The rooms (cabins) are large, comfortable and spotlessly clean. The lobby is rustic, warm and charming. The host and hostess are very nice. The motel is right outside of town, a stones throw away. And the price is decent as well.
So what could be wrong? The owners are pretty political and ultra-conservative and their slogans, which are on the neon sign outside of the motel, have been offensive to friends and family who have stayed there. No one wants to be seen staying at a place that has a political

My girlfriend and I stayed here as a layover on a long and meandering drive back from New Hampshire to DC, and both agreed it deserved a Yelp review. It's a sort of old-school motel; it consists of a series of small one-room cabins (well, some are duplexes), set in a semicircle, each facing the center. Each has a porch facing the middle, which is a large lawn. It is incredibly cute, and was quiet, clean, and comfortable when we were there (we slept all night with the windows open, for what that tells you). It's just out of downtown Milford, and it was easy to walk there from the motel
