This place is HORRIBLE.
Let me start by saying that I do not own a timeshare (scam of all scams) and I am staying here with someone who does, and I can't wait to leave in two days.
When we walked in, this place was filthy. Dusty, spider webs, dirty carpet, the whole nine yards. The furnishings are old and outdated, and some don't even work properly. The absolute worst part is the bed. The sheets have multiple blood stains that whoever cleaned this place attempted to hide by turning the sheet over, except you can see right through the sheet. Same story with the blanket.

I don’t mind that the place is dated however when we checked in the room was dirty. There were cobwebs on lights and walls, moldy smell, couch smelled so we had to buy Fabreeze from super market to spray it down and the floors and hair in bathroom shower. Obviously the cleaning people are not doing their jobs and no one is checking up on them. I was walking around barefoot and my feet at end of day of black like tar. Good area but needs serious management attention to cleaning.

The pool is nice, lots to do in the area. I like that we got our own kitchen and that the place was spacious. Overall my experience was decent but I cant get over the dirty couch, you have to pay for room service, you have to do the dishes and put away the sheets. I've never experienced that before. I guess this is an airbnb.

We were grossly disappointed with this place. The place is overrun with spiders so much so we had to buy spider spray. When we asked the front desk for a broom to knock the webs outside on the deck and front entrance they said we should have had a broom already there to no avail. They sent for the maintenance man and he knocked the spider webs down however you could see the spiders crawling right back. This means they never thoroughly clean none of the porches every morning we walked through spider webs to get to our vehicle. I couldn't even let my son walk because it was too dirty outside

This resort is not a member of the Better Business Bureau so that should tell you something. They were rude and threatening and didn’t offer any help as I was lost and could not find the location. There are no signs or directions on how to get there. It was a horrendous trip. The key didn’t work in the door and I ended up missing the wedding that I was supposed to attendAnd had to go five hours back home. I never have seen such atrocious customer service and all my life. They are not a member of the Better Business Bureau either. If it was such a great place why wouldn’t they be a member

We had a great view of the lake. The room was nice. The front desk people were friendly. But, no room service, no maid service and when you check out YOU have to take all the bedding and towels and put them into the bathroom tub. You have to make sure you basically clean up for them. But, overall it was nice.

I only wish I could put zero stars this is what I feel about tanglewood , I have been an owner for nearly 40 years. This place has gone down horribly in the past six years for the following reasons. Number one you never had to pay to use the pack and play, or a cot now you do you never had to pay for any children's activities now you do. They don't tell you any of this until you get here and you start seeing it on your bill and when you question it they say you just went into affect recently but when you booked it they never tell you. If you're a Hilton grand vacation club member... this is NOT a place for you. Decaying wood, unsafe boat ramps, no exciting activities...
The inground pool is a 30 minute drive from the resort! The staff at that location are very strict with the rules. They find ANY reason to come bark at you. You're not allowed to use their outdoor pool... no food or drinks allowed around pool, etc. I had a bag of mini pancakes to give to my 1 year old and not even a min passes before I had a lifeguard pounce on me.
The room itself was OK. But a lot of unsafe features. Please see pictures.

So far not impressed. First night here. Arrived to peeling paint and rotting wood on the exterior. Not a good start. Room looked ok till it was time for bed. The kids are using the pull out. I feel bad for them, the mattress is falling apart and thin. Everything can be felt through it. The first sheet we used to make the pull out had a hole in it, the next two both had stains one looks like blood. Then my wife and I got into our bed and sunk to the floor. For being a time share resort I am not impressed. We'll see what the morning brings and if there are any remedies.

Okay as a base of operations in the area. Opposed to what may be listed in literature, there is no longer an indoor pool or gym on-site. You don't really want to drive 7-8 miles to use the ones they suggest. It's a beautiful condo in a prime location in the Poconos. Prepare to do your own cleaning and trash removal. If you want housekeeping, it will cost you $35 each time they come.
