ROAM Solar, Inc. specializes in repair and maintenance of solar photovoltaic systems in the residential and small commercial space. We also provide custom services in design and installation of new systems, upgrading and expanding existing systems and special projects such as removing and replacing rooftop solar when the building is getting a new roof installed.
Our newest design and installation projects are battery-based systems which provide power during utility blackouts and helping to reduce the power bill. Older solar photovoltaic panels were generally designed to face south. Meanwhile, the utility has changed their rate plans to charge more in the late afternoon and early evening.

Services
We are expert troubleshooters to pinpoint and fix problems to get your system back to normal power production. No solar system downtime. Ensure your system runs 24 x 7 x 365 at its maximum potential to protect your energy investment. Steady maintenance is the best way to keep a system in tip-top condition and producing the optimum power.
Solar Photovoltaic systems are generally maintenance free. However, the effects of weather makes maintenance and repair inevitable. We use state-of-the-art diagnostic tools to troubleshoot your solar system to uncover problems and restore it to its maximum potential. What issues do people typically call us for help?
Proper operations of your solar PV system begin from the day it is first built. We recommend taking the time to build it right, emphasizing quality over speed and emphasizing experienced, certified solar installers over workers who average less than 12 months on the roof. If your project has encountered build quality problems, we can help correct the mistakes.
Like a new car, a newly installed solar system works flawlessly. But like a car, preventative maintenance is vital to keeping solar running in tip top condition. Waiting until problems occur means paying for reactive maintenance which is 3 times the cost of preventative maintenance. We recommend a general site inspection each year.
A good solar design begins with an accurate analysis of your roof. Most solar companies will analyze your roof using satellite technology but we actually take the time to climb on your roof to measure and record the size of your roof, locations of your vents, skylights, and anything that can shade your solar array such as trees, power lines, or your neighbor's house.

My solar panel inverter died some time ago and the original installer was no longer in business. I was referred to Dave of Roam Solar and contacted him. Dave was very responsive and gave me a fair estimate. He needed to rent a lift to get the inverter installed and handled everything. He also took photographs of the installation and walked me through the photographs explaining all that was done. He was very easy to work with throughout the process. Thanks to him, I have a functioning solar generation system once again after I had given up hope of being able to get it repaired.

I reached out to Dave on a cold call, as I was needing someone to take a look at my solar situation on a newly-purchased house (the company that had installed recently went out of business and I had no records to know what I was looking at). I also needed to get someone out before getting the place fumigated so that I would know what to look for. Dave let me know that he would do his best to fit me in before my fumigation date and was extra diligent about following up--multiple phone calls + an e-mail. With everything going on I dropped the ball on getting back to him (and was able to connect to

My 11 year old solar inverter failed and the manufacturer of the inverter was no longer in business. I contacted ROAM, hoping I'd find someone familiar with the inverter. Dave came and spent an hour trying to troubleshoot to no avail, and we decided a replacement of the inverter was the best solution. He priced it out for me and in a few days, came by to install it. Unfortunately, the installation required an additional electrical box to cover up the cables behind the old larger inverter properly, and he had to make a 3rd trip back. All in all, it took longer than had expected, including
