Services
Diversity Health Center's primary mission is to provide primary, preventative and mental healthcare services to the residents of its service area and to provide and maintain the necessary facilities, equipment and personnel required to ensure affordable, accessible and comprehensive healthcare to the residents of its service area, with a particular focus on the uninsured and underserved residents.
This year marks my fifth year with Diversity Health Center, Inc. and my 25th year in the Healthcare industry. It is remarkable to look back over the past four years and see how far our Center has come in a rapidly changing and challenging healthcare environment. The Center has grown to be a system that is focused on improving access, quality of care and treating the whole person.
The Diversity Health Center has a dedicated board of directors that assist with the operations and strategic direction of the organization. They work with staff to help everyone who needs care receive it in Liberty and Long counties. The Board of Directors is currently comprised of 11 members and includes a diverse group of citizens of the community.
Diversity Health Center, Inc. now offers mobile healthcare. The focus of the mobile healthcare clinic is to provide primary care and behavioral health services at locations outside of our own. Through our mobile medical unit we partner with local organizations to bring care to people who otherwise couldn't access it.
The Health Insurance Marketplace is a destination where consumers can compare insurance options in simple, easy to understand language. At the Marketplace, consumers will be able to compare insurance options based on price, benefits, quality, and other factors with a clear picture of premiums and cost-sharing amounts to help them choose the insurance that best fits their needs.

I would give 4 stars for my provider and 2 for the overall clinic. I love my provider she listens and is thoughtful. But after today it is making me leary coming back. The thing I am most concerned about is the lack of enforcement of mask wearing. There is no point of asking people questions and taking temps if no one is following the one thing that can keep people safe. I saw two families today not a single mask was worn until I brought it to attention to the woman working at the door. There are immunocompromised people who are being seen, and those with serious illnesses. There is no illness

Poor patient-to-doctor relationship. The doctor will not do what the patient needs. They are not friendly here, everything seems scripted with their operation. I try to explain a past medical practice due to moving into the area. It was downplayed as not their problem. Their referral system is never followed up on and constant back and forth. Seek better community care at another location.

Diversity has changed my life mentally physically and emotionally. Mrs.Abou is so understanding and actually listens and cares about her Patience's. And also I love Mrs.Courtney she has such a wonderful personality and makes you feel right at home. I'm so super siked to see my new Behavior health counselor we met once before and y'all she is so easy to talk to and just have an amazing spirit. And we love the staff they are all incredible.

The nurses were absolutely rude and they didn't even check me, they wasn't concerned about my health problems and the issue was never resolved. They don't care about their patients. Definitely that so called nurse Joan.

I have received great care at this location. I transferred my care from the VA to Diversity. I won't be going back.
Dr. Abou takes time to listen to your concerns as does Tamra. Both are very pleasant, and they have a fun sense of humor. They aren't judgemental and go for simple solution when possible.
The evening hours are a very big plus. My appointments are after 5. I can attend these appointments without having to take time off from work. Diversity also uses a sliding scale for patients in lower income groups. They have a pharmacy onsite.
I needed a new primary care provider because of the

Had my first appointment with them yesterday, waited about 2 hours to be seen. Not a biggie other places aren’t the quickest either. The nurse and NP Miss Brown were great. I wasn’t rushed and they listened and took their time and I did not feel like they weren’t educated as some of the comments here state. Only issue I had was my prescription being send to the wrong pharmacy which was so inconvenient and a pain to get fixed, shouldn’t have happened in the first place, stupid mistake.Other than that I can’t complain. Never had issues getting anyone on the phone either and can’t say that

Great staff and great doctors. I can always get an appointment when I need one. Dr Mary Allen is amazing. She takes such good care of my newborn son. Dr Newton is great with my husband's care. Highly recommend. Not sure why everyone complains but my family has only had amazing care at this clinic. Thank you staff
