Attempted to schedule a move with JK Moving. Unfortunately they did not have the date I needed available. The person I spoke to proposed a future date and I explained that this was after my lease expired, therefore it was not an option for me. I was able to schedule another moving company, and moved on. However, I received repeated phone calls from JK moving about scheduling with them on alternate dates. The phone calls were sometimes in the same person and sometimes from different people. Overall, what you need to know is that JK Moving is a premium moving service providing top of the line service at a premium price. They pay their people well. They treat their people well and they get very good people working for them. It took me only twenty mijutes to book a move with them. Since my move was small (a couch and a chair) they offered to do it mid week to save me an hour on minimum cost. They showed up during the time window. They called ahead to advise. I can also highly recommend JK Moving. I worked with Joe Pence on both moves from VA to MA and again from VA to TN. He was thorough and spot on with his assessment. He is very professional and responds to emails and texts immediately. They have a video assessment of your items that is catalogued and pictures in a professional packet that you receive. I’ve used JK movers three times and have been extremely satisfied every time. From the first phone contact through the final delivery, JK customer service was ALWAYS in contact and available- rarely a wait on hold- always prompt and informed. We used JK for an interstate move. At the destination, the crew said, "Nice couch, it's never gonna fit up those stairs. Get a sectional." They were so sure that they didn't try. They left the couch in our garage. Within a few days, I hired Two Men and a Truck, and the three of us got the couch up the stairs in about five minutes. I figured that after I spent ~$8,500 on the whole move with JK, they might be willing to reimburse the ~$270 I spent on the other contractors to get the job done right. WOW! JK Moving Services was impressive. I can't say I am a huge fan of moving but Ricky Stewart and the JK Team were exceptional.
Super communicative. Extremely knowledgeable. Transparent. Ricky also made sure we thought through backup plans in case our closings were delayed and provided professional advice all along the way.
The team was also punctual, respectful and fast. I work in the homebuilding industry and would recommend Ricky and his team to any one of my friends and/or family members.
We highly recommend.

I should have reviewed them before and just now seeing the 3 stars or whatever is super surprising cause I have personally used JK Moving at least 4 times if not more...and every time I call up, speak to Wendy (I believe is her name) and they are amazing! They are fast, efficient, thorough and surprisingly cost effective for their level of professionalism. As a retail business owner I can be pretty difficult to deal with and I can honestly say that I have never had any issues with these guys. 5 stars hands down, and will gladly continue to put my name on these guys. JK promised to move me into a house April 1st, when the previous tenant was moving out. They got here early and demanded that I rent a storage unit. I had to pay a second moving company and the storage unit to move me at the correct date. No compensation was provided. I had purchased insurance and received $200 towards a completely shredded mattress. I am looking at taking them to small claims court, but they are out of state.

I needed to move my father's belongings out of his assisted living during Covid. It was stressful. JK was thoughtful, organized, careful and kind. They needed to make two stops. Everything got where it needed to go safely. There was lots of follow through on all levels. We got free used boxes and a $35 coupon for tape and packing materials. I got the warehouse late, but they kept it open for me to pick up the materials. The guys that actually did the loading and unloading were lovely. Moving is never easy or cheap (if it is done well).
