Being a tailor is one of the most rewarding things I've experienced. With our roots firmly planted in the rich soil that is the ever evolving city of Nashville, we are a small business with large aspirations. The soul of Only One Tailoring was conceived and nurtured by my parents through the sweat of their brow, sore fingers, and an uncompromising dedication to their clientele.

Due to some unexpected events I needed to get some minor alterations last minute. They were able to provide great quality serivces. Dropped off the suit pants at 11am, it was ready by 2pm, same day and it looked wonderful.

I never leave reviews but no one needs to waste their time and money here. The woman who consulted for my wedding dress alterations, I say woman because she never introduced herself or asked my name, was so rude and disrespectful. In a condescending tone she asked “where did you get this dress” as if it was the ugliest wedding dress she’d ever seen. After bringing up an issue with the dress to her she said that it would be fixed after the dress was hemmed at my final fitting, I put the dress back on after if was hemmed and the problem was not fixed and she claimed the only way to solve it

I have been going to Only One Tailoring since I first moved to Nashville in 2016. I had always been happy with their work, but over the years the prices have creeped up drastically and it was already a little higher than other options around town. To replace a zipper I was quoted $35 and to add a single stitch maybe 2 stitches to keep a blouse from coming open was $30 or $40, I was quoted $5 elsewhere and they offered to stitch the entire area shut. I had my first dress fitting here with my mom and my grandmother. From the moment the wedding dress tailor walked in, we were not welcomed warmly at all. She did not introduce herself, and she immediately closed the curtain on me and said "put your dress on." with a straight face.
This was the first time my mom and grandmother saw me in my wedding dress (I bought it alone), so I was excited to have this special moment. The tailor rushed the entire fitting, and acted like it was a burden to hear the very minimal alterations

I have been to 3 other places for alterations since moving to Nashville and now I will not trust anyone else with my clothes! The other places lacked customer service and the work was always wrong (straps made too short so they hurt, pants hemmed higher than they were originally marked, etc). I am more than happy to pay a little more for the quality work I have gotten from the team at Only One Tailoring. I just picked up a blazer yesterday where I had the sleeves shortened and tapered and it is PERFECT! I hope to have some custom shirts made soon as well!

Good service, quick turnaround. They also have a chic space that is kind of in a random location though. My husband has gotten a few pairs of selvedge jeans done here. I asked for a quote to have a Burberry jacket redone and it was hundreds! Needless to say I didn't go through with it. I was stunned. Overall: would go back.

I had a very expensive Saint Laurent dress and this is the only place I felt I could trust. They took in my shoulders and the waist and did an amazing job. After trying it on again they even went back
in to adjust the neckline to make it all look cohesive. The seamstress was there to fit me and she really knew what she was doing. I'll definitely be taking all my expensive pieces there.

My fiancee and I brought in her wedding dress for a moderate alteration, and my brand new suit for alterations as well. Before bringing in our garments, we went over an estimated cost for what needed to be done over the phone. Shortly after we dropped off the clothes, I took a quick look at our receipt and discovered items I was wanting to have done [open the pockets of my coat, as well as making the sleeve buttons functional] missing from the to do list.

They made the experience extremely comfortable and easy! I went in for a bridesmaid dress and needed it slightly taken-in. They pinned it quickly, but were thorough. They checked to see how I felt in it and made sure I was comfortable. The dress was ready in a couple of weeks and pickup was super quick and easy!

I had a jacket of my nana's that I wanted to be able to wear, but it was so ill-fitting, I knew I had to take it to a good tailor for alterations so the alterations would be done well (especially given that it's a piece of clothing that I have a lot of personal/sentimental attachment to!). I found Only One Tailoring on Yelp and decided to give it a chance due to the excellent reviews! I stopped by with the jacket and a pair of jeans that just needed to be taken up an inch or so (I'm a short girl who always needs jeans altered). The measuring/pinning just took a couple of minutes

I got my wedding dress alterations done at Only One Tailoring and I highly recommend them. Susan was a joy to work with and the staff was always very nice. After my alterations my dress fit like a glove is I feel so beautiful in it I can’t wait for my wedding day in two weeks! Aaron was there for my final fitting and was super nice as well. I used Only One Tailoring for my wedding dress alterations, and they were AMAZING. I highly recommend them to anyone needing alterations. I’m pretty short and had a very long train on my dress, so I had to get quite a bit of the dress altered. They were so detailed and the dress looked flawless. When I first brought it to them, there was a small oil stain on the front (probably from trying it on too many times prior to bringing it in for alterations). The seamstress went above and beyond to try and get the stain out, and the next time I came in it was gone!

I had made an appointment with an individual who worked there and upon my arrival a young lady proceeded to help me. When I tried on my bridesmaids dress, she simply pinned the dress in different spots but didn't ask if it was comfortable, what I wanted or if it fixed my original problem (being too big in the top). My mom and I were asking questions about how much material would be taken off, how many inches it needed to be brought in, and general recommendations and every time we asked the lady had to consult with another worker who had to interrupt her appointment. I'm short. I'm stout. I'm not a teapot, but definitely not a shape that matches what comes off rack. So all my pants have to be altered so I don't have to roll my jeans ten times. I've been to multiple tailors and alteration shops in Nashville only to end up with jeans that are still too long, too short, have weird seems, etc. only one is the first

The team at Only One did a wonderful job with my wedding dress. When the employee that was altering my dress got injured shortly before my wedding day Aaron stepped in and personally worked late to ensure my dress was finished in time. He is not satisfied until everything is perfect with your garment and will ensure he works until it is that way. Everyone at the shop is very highly skilled and I'm thankful I trusted them with my wedding dress. In addition to the high skill level, they are also great about scheduling and will work to fit you in. I would definitely use Only One Tailoring again.

I had a bridesmaids dress altered for me for a Jamaican wedding a few years ago and they did a great job. I'm bottom heavy with a small waist so they basically had to take my size 12 (or 10) bridesmaids gown in to a 6. They were able to hem it, and fit the bust better to me. I wish I had added cups (can't remember if they were suggested to me or not), because that Jamaican sun was hot and I got sweaty. Still a wonderful dress to dance in all night.

Had a great experience here! They really take into account what you have to say and walk you through all the options with your alterations. They were upfront with the costs and were not pushy at all. I took my wedding dress here and it had to have a lot of "little" adjustments and many appointments to get it just right. They were super patient with me and my indecisiveness and doubts. I came here to have my wedding dress tailored, and they couldn't have done a better job. I was having major dress regret after I tried my dress on the first time after I bought it, but at the final fitting the dress fit me like a glove and looked perfect, and I fell in love with it again! They took it in in the bust (which was difficult due to the position of the delicate lace detailing) hemmed it, created a bustle, sewed in cups and adjusted the delicate straps. It looked perfect!!
