I'm Hanna, from Vietnam, and I arrived at the USA in 1993. I started sewing in Vietnam when I was 13. I learned a lot from my aunt who was a seamstress and lived in my hometown, and I also went to the school so I could become the best Tailor. After learning how to custom design in school for three years, now I can make anything like pants, suits and dresses.

If you are a bride, I would highly recommend Express Alterations! My dress was originally way too big on me, and needed several different alterations, including the shoulders, sleeves, waist/hips, under the arms, the neckline, and adjusted placement of the center ribbon/bow. I also needed the alterations to be finished in a fairly short timeframe, and Hanna and her staff did not let me down!
They were very accommodating, and really listened and understood my vision for my wedding dress. Hanna is a truly talented tailor and seamstress, and the final version of my dress was absolutely perfect.

Dropped off a suit jacket to have waist & length alterations on 12/23/2021, with a pick up date of 1/6/2022. i arrived today to pick up my jacket (3:00pm) and they are working on it now and it should be done by 5:00pm

It's hard to find a tailor that you can trust, is reasonably priced, and you can rely on. Express Alterations has become mine, and I'm so grateful to finally have a place. Find a cute dress for a bargain and it's just little off? They can fix it. Suite just a little baggy in the sleeves or arms a little tight? Yup, they got you. Pants a touch too long? Oh yeah.
Seriously, I've taken all these to them and each time it comes back lovely. It's hard for me to find clothing that fit my body right, but Express Alterations helps make me look professional and good.

Please don't make our mistake. In Hanna's defense, we did end up with completed work.
Dropped the mother of the groom's dress off 5 days before a wedding for a two inch hem. At the time, we asked to not take the dress if they were swamped. Assured of capacity, we left the dress. The day to head to the wedding, got to leave two hours late as we waited eighth in line with everyone shocked they were actually starting alterations as people would come to pick up. Please, Please, save yourself a ton of frustration and go somewhere else.

My niece had a wedding dress emergency 14 days before her wedding. I called Express Alterations and talked to Grace who couldn't have been nicer and more accommodating. She got us in that day to meet with Hannah, who is a MIRACLE WORKER. When I saw this place can work miracles, I'm telling you the truth! Within ONE WEEK, my nieces wedding dress fit her like a glove and had been fixed to perfection. All the other staff were so sweet and friendly. I'm going to bring all my alterations here from now on. I would HIGHLY recommend this business!

My wife needed alterations for our wedding. She was told to come pick up the dress on the Wednesday before we were leaving. (We were leaving to drive 3 hours on Friday to start our wedding weekend.) We get there Wednesday and were told they needed more time and could we come back on Friday. We agreed because we really had no choice but this caused extreme amounts of stress. We arrived at 4pm on Friday to find that the person working on her dress wasn't there and it was not completed. They called her and asked if we could come back in an hour. I had ordered an Amazon prime dress for a wedding on a Sunday, revived the dress on Monday and it was slightly large in the chest. I called Express and stated I needed it before Wednesday because the wedding was out of town and I left Thursday. Express got the job done so quickly and even refunded me because the way they planned on altering it didn't work. They were amazing and so fast! I will be taking more items back to them!

I recently visited express to have a pair of pants altered. I first called men's wear house because that is where I got the pants, but then gave express a call. Express was priced much better, with a better turnaround time, as well. They did a great job, and I definitely appreciated their help getting my pants ready for a wedding I had to attend. Thank you!

Went in for 2 pillow sham zippers for repair/replace. $22 per pillow. Order would take 10 days, on 10th day items were not ready. They asked for more time, I would give them more time for a discount. They agreed and on pickup tried to give me a gift certificate for a future use. a $5 gift certificate. Usually I come here with no issue, work is done timely and is reasonably priced. I did not feel it was reasonably priced and the work was not done on time. Shop has seemingly declined in service.

I was looking for somewhere to get a dress tailored in time for a wedding I have this coming weekend.....HUGE blessing to have found this wonderful location!! I dropped my dress off on Wednesday, expecting to pick up Friday at noon, but was delighted to have a call Thursday evening that my dress was already ready for pick up!! Just tried it on, fits perfectly, and I couldn't be happier!! I can't wait to use Express Alterations again in the future. Absolutely amazing customer service as well - very pleased.

I took in two pair of slacks to be hemmed (one had side slits on the cuff and I asked them to make sure to replicate the slits). Upon arriving to pick up my slacks, I found out that they had not included slits. Said the mistake would be corrected and I could come in Monday to get them. Would recommend! I bought my wedding dress from Sophia's Bridal down the street. I needed my dress altered in less than 2 weeks, and they referred to Express Alterations. I walked in on that same Monday afternoon with my dress, was fitted right then and there, and came back the following Tuesday to a finished dress. We decided to cut the train shorter and take the waist in a little more, which only took her two days! Impressive considering the delicate material. This is my new favorite alteration spot, all thanks to Yelp! I was in a major need of an alteration shop, due to a formal event coming up (pre-quarantine). We all know the same routine. Buy a formal gown, maybe a size smaller, hoping you can "diet" or "work out" your way to get into the dress. Well I tried that method, and in some areas, worked great. I am editing my original rating of 1 star to 5 stars because less than 24 hours after posting my review, the business owner reached out to me directly and apologized for the experience I had, assuring me that it was not their normal quality of work. He encouraged me to purchase new shorts, for which he reimbursed me. When I came in, he was there to personally apologize for the craftsmanship. His wife/business partner personally fitted them to me and did the alterations herself in time for me to wear them to my event (less than 24 hours from me dropping the new pairs off). The shorts fit me PERFECTLY
