Cleveland Ballet is delighted to be returning to their home at Playhouse Square for the upcoming season with a dazzling roster of performances. The School of Cleveland Ballet is committed to inspiring its students - providing high quality instruction, safe training and a solid dance syllabus. Cleveland Ballet Youth Company is a classically trained youth ballet group made up of young dancers of exceptional potential.

Cleveland Ballet is fortunate to have members of The Cleveland Orchestra and Cleveland Institute of Music working with the dancers to provide a rich musical component to every performance. I was thinking of you today because I went to a 4 hands piano concert to hear Dvok's Slavonic Dances and it brought back wonderful memories of dancing to that in 2007.
Services
From the fascinating history of dance in Cleveland starting at the beginning of the 20th century, Dr. Michael Krasnyansky, a successful Russian businessman who settled in the Cleveland area, and his wife Gladisa Guadalupe, a wonderful dancer originally from Puerto Rico, have made their mission to build on the vision and business acumen of Adella Prentiss and impresario Giacomo Bernardi.
The mission of Cleveland Ballet is to present world class dance on stage through classical and contemporary works; ensuring that ballet works are accessible and relevant to audiences of all ages and backgrounds. Cleveland Ballet creates dance and outreach programs of the highest levels of excellence, reaching deeply into the hearts of our community to inspire audiences.
Most likely, in the last ballet performance, you attended you could hear the orchestra, but not see the orchestra's performance. Traditionally the relationship between the orchestra and the ballet allows the audience to visually focus on the dancers while audibly focusing on the orchestra. Watching BOTH entities perform on the same stage - at the same time - was thought to be too distracting for audiences.
Cleveland Ballet believes in the representation of culture and racial diversity as an essential element for the art form of ballet. Cleveland Ballet recognizes its responsibility in developing a community that stands for equality and inclusion, and recognizes that it must take intentional steps, through its procedures, guidelines, and actions, to fulfill this responsibility.
Cleveland Ballet is currently only accepting applications for male dancers 5'9 above for our 2021-2022 season. Contracts will be 36 weeks with healthcare benefits. Compensation according to experience and ability. Audition Fee: Due to the turbulent times, Cleveland Ballet understands the financial burden and will not be collecting audition fees this year.
