My husband and I made our first trip to Elm Street Bakery for breakfast. We were looking for something other than the usual bacon and eggs. My husband ordered the ESB breakfast sandwich. It was a big disappointment. The sandwiches are pre made and sitting under a warmer. The eggs were lukewarm at best. I had the avocado toast which was good. Large cups of coffee were good and hot. We would prefer going elsewhere where food is made on demand and hot.

Worth the trek from the North towns!
Kind of mad at myself for leaving this in my drafts for so long because the world deserves to know what Elmstreet bakery has waiting for them!
East Aurora is always such a lovely trip out of Buffalo, wonderful scenery, easy drive, and so many treats and treasures await in town!
I had a gift card to Elmstreet so decided to to bring a friend for bread to share the experience and wow it was fantastic!
The interior is rustic barn/old mill with general store vibes filled with the warm scents of baked goods, coffee, and soft chatter or friendly laugher. The

OK, it's time.
What is up with 8 AM start time for a bakery with a breakfast menu? I normally rolled through and stopped for a to-go item and coffee just after 7 AM during the pre-COVID period. We then understood the changes during peak response, but now baffled by the 8 AM start that has now lingered more recently.
I switched to Kornerstone and BEB down the street, where I and MANY other locals now get our morning fix between 7-8 AM.
I can confidently say ESB probably loses between $300 & 500 of business in that 7-8 AM period. With that, we now generally ignore the place during

Took the drive after drooling for weeks at their IG and was so worth it! We picked out a dozen baked goods to make sure we had the full experience. They were spectacular, but there are other bakeries I enjoy more, so I give an appropriate 4/5. It was packed and I felt a little rushed. The layout could be better organized. It has a very homey feel, but felt a bit cramped. I would definitely go back!

Definitely coming back here again.
The coffee and baked goods were delicious and they had plenty of seating indoors and outdoors.
Everyone is friendly and the facility is clean and has a nice feel!
It's been hard to find a place where we can bring our little one, but this cafe worked out perfectly with the picnic tables outside and plenty of parking.
We'll be coming back again to try their other drinks and food :)

On winter break, we stopped for lunch after ice skating. Ordered sandwiches and drinks to eat outside. We asked one of the servers if we could lite a fire in one of the fire rings, and they sent someone out who… got a hot fire started. Our food was ready shortly thereafter. The Turkey Ruben was delicious and my son devoured his grilled cheese giving it two thumbs. Compliments to the cook and staff!!

Loved visiting this little bakery in East Aurora! Espresso bar is open from 8a-4p on Saturdays, so my husband and I just made it in time for coffee and a treat. We both got Americanos, a brookie (brownie cookie), and took home a loaf of honey oat bread.
The americano was excellent. The espresso was a little on the brighter side which isn't my personal favorite. By the attention to detail in each cup made will definitely have me coming back. Everyone there was so kind and the gentleman behind the espresso bar made every cup to perfection. Next time, I'm excited to try some of their house

Update: Their sandwiches are dynamite. We had the muffuletta and Freddy's Favorite. Housemade bread, premium deli meat, and homemade spreads. The saltiness of the fillings was perfectly offset by the nutty flavor of the focaccia and souriness of the sourdough.
Yummo update: If you like chocolate and peanut (who doesn't?), then you have to try Fat Al. There truly needs to be more ice creams out there with a peanut butter base. Also tried the Ricotta Rhubarb Ripple. It was just okay. Tasted a bit soapy to me and the shortbread didn't have much flavor. But we have another 1

I had a very nice lunch here today. They have COVID restrictions in place, so you can order via a window outside, and either take it to go, or sit at available tables on the patio (no inside seating yet). At the window they have menus and have marks on the ground showing 6 feet separations.
I chose the chicken rice bowl which sounded light and had lots of things I like in it, like avocado, cilantro, among others. I was given a number and chose a table on the patio. The food arrived quickly, within 5 minutes or so, and was fresh. There wasn't table service, but they did bring silverware

Stopped in to grab a quick breakfast before starting our weekend away. Friday morning was busy! I ordered a bacon, egg and cheese breakfast sandwich. When it was brought to me, it was not toasted it warm. Despite this it was still very good. The bread was wonderful with a crisp crust. My husband ordered the goat cheese and jam toast which he thought would have come toasted but you have to toast it yourself. After he toasted it and spread the goat cheese and jam on ....it was AMAZING! We also shared a peach muffin that was good but we had a hard time getting it out of the paper wrapper.
