We only practice in San Joaquin County so we have almost daily interaction with the judges, clerks, mediators and court staff in our home county.
Most parents going through a divorce agree that their children are their primary concern. They want to make sure their kids have happy, stable homes while maintaining a positive relationship with both parents. The problem is that in many cases the parents disagree about what is best. Most of the time, both parents truly believe that their position what is best for the children.
Other than custody issues, nothing can create more stress in a divorce like support issues. Whether you are dealing with child support or spousal support, it is critical that you get an order that is accurate. Although the system is intended to be "plug and play".IT IS NOT. Support orders can fluctuate dramatically by changing one or two settings on the support calculators.
We understand the stress and anxiety that comes with an arrest and the subsequent criminal hearings. We can help to relieve some of that anxiety by appearing on your behalf, many times without you having to come to court for the majority of the hearings. We will negotiate pleas where appropriate and prepare defenses for trial if the attempts to get a dismissal fail.

I recently retained San Joaquin Family Law to represent me in a custody modification. Mr. Bengueral was very helpful in answering any questions I may have had and representing me in our current case. The paralegal, Breanna, was great in answering any questions I had, returning phone calls, and providing me the most up to date information. IHI was not 100% thrilled with the outcome, however due to Covid-19, I had my court date via video conference and it made it a bit difficult to discuss with Me. Bengueral during the hearing to address other issues the previous party had not brought up before this

Where do I begin? Separations in itself can be not only stressful, exhausting and embarrassing to say the least! But then having to deal with an unnecessary battle over children who innocently have no say in any of it. I was almost stripped away from time with my best friend.. my son, 7 years of age who knew nothing but being by his fathers side all his life. I retained this legal service around Jan of this year (2019). Im going through an ugly divorce with restraining orders filed and everything. Tamran has been handling my husbands custody case for 2 years now. She has been over the top awesome in all areas. A lot of communication does take place with the paralegals, but they are awesome too. They have never ever dropped the ball or slipped up in any areas like some other attorneys we have dealt with. Jacob Benguerel is by far the best attorney around! I unfortunately found myself on the other side of a custody battle that went south. Jacob is the best investment I could have made for my children and their future.
