We have water again thanks to these folks. I spoke with 2 other companies before calling Hewitt Messenger and I wish I would have just called them in the beginning! The first company couldn't get us back up and running until the next week and we had already been without water to the house and our farm for 2 days. The second company made it clear that they didn't need our business and we were at their mercy. Hewitt Messenger showed up, diagnosed the problem and had it fixed in 2 hours at a fraction of the price quoted by the other 2 companies. Thank you guys so much! Our well works better than when

Collected well water sample & took to Taney Co Health for bacteriological analysis. Talked to Heidi today about lab results; she explained them thoroughly as well as our options/cost. Cost was very reasonable. Highly recommend this business!!

I had a leaky valve in my well house and invited Hewitt-Messenger out to replace it. They came out (29 November 2014) and did nothing but tighten the set screw on the valve handle, then charged me $110. I live less than four miles from the company. I presume $110 is their minimal service call fee. But since they traveled such a short distance and did nothing significant, I would have expected a reduced fee. I have since had to pay someone else to replace the faulty fitting as the leak persisted.

They replaced my UV filter in a property that I’m selling. Unfortunately, they did not reset the filter alarm. An agent showed the home to a client and the alarm was beeping loudly. I can’t imagine that it left a favorable impression on the potential buyers. I had to drive an hour out to the property myself to reset the alarm- next time I’ll just replace the filter myself. I thought hiring pros meant the job would be done right. They were not interested in refunding the labor costs to rectify their mistake.

Hewitt-Messenger has done a good number of things for me over the last 15 years. They have replace a pumped after a lightning strike, shocked a well for me, fixed a pressure tank problem, and installed two water softeners for me. The work has been top notch and efficient. Their work has been in budget, on time and top quality. I will use them again and will not hesitate to recommend to others.

I called Hewitt-Messenger a couple of weeks ago. We are purchasing a new home and we are not from this area. We know nothing about wells, etc. I spoke with Heidi and she educated me on so much! We hadn't spent one single dime with this company and I was so impressed with her that I put it in the contract of the sale that we only wanted Hewitt-Messenger in Springfield to service out soon to be new home. I called Heidi numerous times that day and she never once seemed frustrated or disturbed. Good customer service is so hard to come by. I'm also in the customer service business and

BEWARE of Hewitt Messenger! Seriously, if you can choose another company... do it! I would have loved someone to warn me about them so I'm passing on the warning. They have been a nightmare and I wouldn't want any other home owner to endure this. Had them out in January claiming I needed a new pump and a leak. I paid that bill and the same symptoms happened again in July so I called them back only to experience 4 days(!!) of low/no water and 6 or 7 different diagnosis' changing every hour! Found the workmen on my property asleep in their truck. They were so incompetent. :( LONG STORY. End result
