Dr. Preethi Ramaswamy is a Board Certified Dermatologist who specializes in medical, surgical and cosmetic dermatology. She earned her bachelor's degree from Northeastern University, Boston, MA and graduated summa cum laude. She then completed a research internship at Harvard Medical School, Cutaneous Biology Research Center.
Dr. Ramaswamy specializes in injectable treatments like Botox, Dysport, Xeomin that are used to temporarily improve the look of moderate to severe frown lines between the eyebrows, crows feet and forehead. These treatments work by paralyzing the muscle that causes movement of the forehead and crows feet.
Dr. Ramaswamy offers hyaluronic acid fillers like Juvederm, Restylane and Belotero; which are used for correction of fine and deep wrinkles around the mouth. They can also be used for enhancement of lips and loss of volume of the tear troughs. Dr. Ramaswamy uses Juvederm Voluma and Radiesse, fillers that instantly add volume to the cheeks resulting in a subtle lift of the upper face.
At Garden State Dermatology, you can get the touchable skin youi?ve always wanted with light-based hair removal. The Palomar ICON and Lumines light sheer diode can treat both light and dark skin types respectively. Energy is used to target and destroy hair follicles responsible for hair growth without causing damage to the surrounding skin.
We offer Laser scar treatment to reduce the appearance of unwanted scars. With the Palomar ICON resurfacing laser, pulses of laser light are gently delivered to the treatment area to break down the scar tissue and help generate healthy new skin. You can expect to see an overall improvement in the tone and texture of the scar.
