Find Her Voice - She'll be encouraged to stand up, stand out, take risks, and try new things. Discover Her Talents and Passions - She'll explore a wide variety of new activities in an emotionally safe environment. Realize Her Value - She'll engage in activities and relationships that emphasize her inherent worth and value in the world.

My daughter spent 4 great summers at camp. This experience away from home helped her grow, become more independent, improve her self esteem and even acquire leadership skills. I loved the fact that at camp, away from mom and dad, she had the opportunity to try new activities that otherwise she might not have dare to do.
Services
You love your daughter, and want the very best for her. You want her to be the strong, smart, confidant young woman you know she can be. You encourage her to speak-out, in a world that tells her to be quiet. You push her to discover her own interests, in a world that tells her to only do what's cool.
Find Her Voice - She'll be encouraged to stand up, stand out, take risks, and try new things. Uncover Her Talents-She'll explore a wide variety of new activities in an emotionally safe environment. Realize Her Value - She'll engage in activities and relationships that emphasize her inherent worth and value in the world.
Please provide us with some information on your location and availability and we'll be in touch to coordinate your open house. I thought my job as a counselor would be to build relationships through deep conversations and a listening ear. While this isn't wrong, the building blocks to get here are much smaller moments.
From the very beginnings of Camp Jeanne d'Arc, Ruth "Colonel" McIntyre wanted to bring girls together from all over the world. She felt that if children could get to know each other and realize that all human beings are the same regardless of their differences, more global understanding and greater world peace would result.
We are Sandy and Randy Abbott, the proud owners and directors of Camp Jeanne d'Arc. Growing up in Southern California, we spent our summers exploring the mountains of the West. This is where our love of the outdoors began. Between Scout Camp, Girls Camp, Family Camp, and Sports Camp; we spent our childhoods camping!

The views are amazing from the trails to the hills to the lakefront. This is a family run business and they treat you like family too. In the last 25 years, I can say that the number of mosquitos and leeches have both declined! The beach was awesome, fresh vegetables from the garden and berries in the forest. It was heaven. Can't wait for next summer!!!

The food there is so gooooooooooooooood on banquet they make a huge turkey feast with candles all around and turkey and mash potatoes and stuffing and gravy. They also are big on the desserts you get desserts

As a third-generation camper, my daughter has loved going to Camp Jeanne d'Arc for the last 7 summers. She has made wonderful, life-long friends, gained a terrific sense of independence, been instilled with a sense of confidence and spirit, and had great fun being with just girls. As a parent, I think it is fabulous camp that not only provides an inspiring experience but also communicates well and listens to input. My daughter is not the same after a summer at JDA! I sent both my daughters to camp Jeanne d'arc and they are successful happy people, after their mom and aunts had also attended. Each year I gave them an option of going virtually anywhere and they each never hesitated in returning. It is a rare find because it looks much the same as it did 50 years ago and is throw back to the experience of the great Adirondak camps - with a true focus upon helping young ladies "find their voice", develop friendships for life and be truly fearless people.

Going to camp Jeanne d'Arc was one of the best decisions I've ever made. From the moment I arrived I knew it was going to be different, everyone was willing to know you and have fun with you. The activities are super well organized, you get to do tons of activities and sports (including waterskiing, or wake boarding, tubing, canoeing... Which were my favorite!) And then we had special activities such as Christmas in July, Wish Upon a Star Night, awards night, barbecues on Sundays, motor trips...
The facilities are super nice too, lots of cabins, an amazing lake, a huge field...
And the best counselors

Camp Jeanne d'Arc has become my daughter's home away from home. She has grown and learned so many things. The most wonderful thing I saw was her increased ability to take on challenges and to use that confidence in all aspects of her life. Thanks for being the best place for girls to be themselves.

What a wonderful place full of fond memories! My daughters are third generation campers. I went here as a girl as did my sisters, aunts, mother. I even had an uncle who was a Camp Lafayette counselor. But whether you step off the bus this summer for the first time or are steeped in family history here, Camp Jeanne d'Arc will live in your daughter's heart forever. Women who went to CJd'A as girls, grow up believing in themselves. They grow up to be who they truly are meant to be! And of course, "There's not a camp in all this world that's dearer. There's not a camp whose girls are half so true.

This summer will be my 7th summer as a camper at JDA! I can't explain how much this camp means to me. The people you meet there are unforgettable! I keep in contact with many girls from all over the world, and i see some who are pretty close to me.

My 14 year old daughter will be a third year camper this summer and has loved every minute of the experience.
The campers and counselors are friendly and caring. There are activities suited for everyone and the environment is safe and nurturing.
We feel good knowing our daughter is enjoying the outdoors while also learning to become an independent and responsible young woman.
Thank you Camp Jeanne D'Arc!

I worked as a camp Councillor at Camp JDA during the summer of 2015. It was the best decision i'd ever made! In Britain we never had summer camps, it was a completely new concept to me; I was not disappointed. Prior to working in Camp JDA I served in the British Army for 5 years, and traveled extensively across South America. All of that pales in comparison to the memories I made in Upstate New York at Camp JDA.
The location is beyond description in its beauty. The facilities are beautiful, rustic and full of historical charm; you can feel the energy of all the past campers in each and every building
