A great experience for kids and teens, aged 6 to 16, with our 2-, 3-, 4-, and 6-week options. Camp Regis Applejack is an amazing co-ed, non-denominational, overnight and day camp for kids and teens aged 6 to 16 located in the Adirondacks. Camp Regis Applejack was established in 1946 and was one of the first non-denominational, racially inclusive summer camps in the United States.
We continue to be an accepting and inclusive community whose mission is to make it possible for everyone to have an unforgettable summer camp experience. For the past 18 years, I have been visiting camps in my capacity as the director of camper placement for the American Camp Association, New York & New Jersey.

Camp Regis was founded by Earl and Pauline Humes in 1946 and was one of the first non-denominational summer camps in the United States. The Humes' opened the camp to every race, religion, and economic background to create an environment of diversity and acceptance.
Later in 1956 they opened Applejack Teen Camp, which was to be a teen camp that focused on not only the traditional camp experience but also encouraged campers to participate in volunteer work. When managing the two separate properties became too much they consolidated the two camps on their property on Upper St. Regis Lake, and Camp Regis Applejack was born.

Earl and Pauline Humes founded Camp Regis in 1946 in an effort to create the future they wanted for our country. In the aftereffects of World War II and with the continued segregation the Humes' wanted to create a camp that was for everyone, regardless of their religion, skin color, country of origin, or financial background.

This place is magical. Traditional summer camp and a wonderful place with tons of opportunities to detox from city life and digital media. Connect to real people from all over the world, make friends for life and live in the middle of the beautiful Adirondacks and explore the nature. Bushcrafting, canoeing, hiking, sailing, tennis, football and arts & crafts are just few of the activities you can try here. At camp, there isn’t really failure, only the chance to try new things, which in itself is a success and let kids develop new skills and confidence. Leaving their home and attending Camp Regis
