A "backflow" may occur in the event of a decrease in pressure in the public water system - such as a water main leak or when a hydrant has been opened near your home. This decrease in pressure creates a vacuum-like effect, causing non potable water to flow into (and potentially contaminate) the public water supply.

Do not use this company. Workmanship is horrible. I’ve had to consistently call them to schedule appointments for Spring turn on and Winterization. They claim they call and/or left messages but never got a return call. Hard to believe since everyone here is working from home. I recently called to have them conduct winterization of the system and they are now claiming I need new contract for them to do the work that was covered under previous contract. Additionally, I’ve had them come repair the system that they installed three times and the system still doesn’t work as intended.
