Keller Mitchell

Keller Mitchell provides value-added landscape architectural services, not only designing unique and appropriate outdoor spaces but nurturing successful, ongoing partnerships with our clients. This project encompassed transitional housing for the elderly, daycare for adults (primarily Alzheimer's patients), education and fundraising, and community outreach functions; it was co-developed by Bridge Housing and the Institute on Aging.

Jacque Keller brought over 40 years of landscape architecture to Keller Mitchell. A founding partner, her responsibilities at the firm included business development, client relations, scheduling, and sustainability. She served as Principal-in-charge of many of the firm's major projects and guided the firm's growth.

Keller Mitchell designed landscape and hardscape for this 20-acre hilly site of a new observatory and educational center. Multi-use plazas incorporate a combination of astronomical and geological imagery. An amphitheater with an outdoor staging and stargazing deck provides outdoor education opportunities.

For the renovation of this historic elementary school, a new forecourt was designed that replicates the building's brick motif, creating a more cohesive and visually engaging entry statement. Canopy trees were added on the south side to shade classrooms, and a new California native plant garden provides a living laboratory for students and teachers alike.
