I started NePalo Cabinetmakers in 2002. Fine woodworking had been a hobby of mine for a long time, but by profession, I was trained as an engineer and received my MBA from UT Austin. With this background, I spent several years working as a banker, a consultant, a production manager, and a software designer.
My heart, however, has always gravitated toward building beautiful things. Taking stock of our life, one day my wife suggested I take a chance and pursue my real passion - woodworking. We embraced the change in lifestyle and with the support of family and friends I began this journey with the hope of building a business that would incorporate both my engineering skills with my artistic vision.

At NePalo Cabinetmakers, we specialize in designing and hand-crafting high quality custom wood furniture, built-ins and cabinetry to address your individual home and office needs. In the past, we have created a wide variety of custom pieces, such as tables, side-tables, home offices, home libraries, kitchens, entertainment centers, bookcases, bedside stands, and sideboards.
I'm so grateful for your honesty and concern for creating a beautiful, high-quality result. You're a true professional - and a perfectionist - which I very much appreciate!. I've really fallen in love with the table. I've talked to my wife for a long time about how much I wanted a table that we could have for a long time as we raise our kids and eat together, and we have it now.
1.-- How long does it take for me to get my furniture? It depends on the type of project that you want, but in some cases we can deliver your project in 3 weeks, in some other it would take longer. We deal with custom furniture so each project is unique. 2.- -What types of woods do you use? We use mainly certified hard woods that originate from forests that are Forest Stewardship Council certified for their sustainable harvest practices.

Aaron built the cabinets for our recently completed kitchen remodel. His craftsmanship is excellent. He has an amazing eye with great attention to detail. Our kitchen is stunning and it's largely due to Aaron's work. Additionally, he was a pleasure to work with. He listens to really understand and deliver what you want. He also did a great job providing updates on timing and other project milestones. I highly recommend Aaron and look forward to working with him again.

Aaron delivered my new desk today (actually desk plus filing system plus drawers plus cabinet). It is absolutely gorgeous, and the detail is amazing! Aaron combines the precision of an engineer with the aesthetics and creativity of an artist. He was a pleasure to work with, and the desk was delivered exactly when he predicted. His workshop is amazing and I was delighted to get a tour of it. I would not hesitate to work with him again.

I have used Nepalo Cabinetmakers several times over the past few years. Every time I deal with Aaron and his crew they are professional, clean and courteous. Equally importantly, the quality of their work is masterful. The finishes, attention to detail and overall great aesthetics are what separate Nepalo from the crowd.

This is the first review I've ever written for yelp, but I felt compelled to do it because we just had our (inset!) kitchen and master bath cabinets done by Nepalo Cabinetmakers and we couldn't be happier. Aaron is a true artist/craftsman - very professional and a perfectionist. Our cabinets turned out even better than we'd imagined and we are tough critics. We feel very fortunate to have come across Nepalo Cabinetmakers.
