Services
Pilates is an innovative and safe system of mind-body exercise using a floor mat or a variety of equipment. It can dramatically transform the way your body looks, feels and performs. Pilates builds strength without excess bulk, capable of creating a sleek, toned body with slender thighs and a flat abdomen.
Jeanne received her Pilates Mat and Pilates Apparatus Certifications after a two-year apprenticeship program from the Kane School of Core Integration in NYC, now called The Kinected Center.
In addition to teaching traditional Pilates methodology that is geared toward lengthening and strengthening the body, Jeanne has training and extensive experience in working injuries such as torn rotator cuffs, herniated discs, pinched nerves, torn menisci and scoliosis as well as arthritic pain.

What does your typical day involve physically? For example sitting at a desk/computer, lifting, standing for long periods of time, chasing children, etc. I understand that I will be participating in a fitness program through Pilates of Rochester that will require physical exertion.
Before beginning this program, I was asked by my instructor whether I have any physical limitations or whether I am taking any medications or receiving any medical treatment that might make it unsafe for me to participate in this fitness program. There is no such limitation, medication, or medical treatment other than those identified above that would make it unsafe for me to participate in this fitness program.

As a seasoned dance educator I know the importance of proper alignment and core strength. Working with Jeanne has greatly improved these areas which are not so easy to maintain as I get older. It is crucial to learn from an experienced professional like Jeanne who was trained at the world reknowned CORE School of Integration. Learn from an expert who is both approachable and fun!

Jeanne has helped me gain strength and flexibility, but even more than that, she has taught me how to recognize the signals my body is giving me and to adjust my posture and movements to create the healthiest body I can achieve. Just like anything else, you get out of it what you put into it, but you won't find anyone more willing to help you do that than Jeanne!!!!
