I have been going to Advanced Desert Dermatology for years. In fact one time I decided to go to my brothers dermatologist thinkin they might be better. Was I disappointed. I came running back to Vernon Mackey and his team! They were so much more professional and did such a great job stitching the areas where I needed Squamous cell removed. I am a very happy patient and will highly recommend this team for all your dermatology needs.

Advanced Desert Dermatology is definitely the place to go for your skincare needs. Dr. Brandon Mackey helps to shine light on the issues at hand and how to resolve them with whatever means necessary. My acne has gotten a lot better since I've started treatment and I couldn't be more grateful for how much they have helped me to regain my self confidence.

Seriously i wish i had found this place sooner... for 9 years i had a cyst and had been to 3 different doctors to hopefully get a dermatologist recommendation so my ACCHS (access insurance) would cover it being removed... was always told unless it’s physically bothering you there’s no need. So for years i was always insecure about it even tho it wasn’t really bad in reality but for myself it’s all i could think about when i was in public/dates/etc. no I’m place would help until the day it became infected and urgent care LUCKILY had no other option except to send me to a dermatologist

The staff and physicians at Advanced Desert Dermatology are wonderful. I’m always greeted with a smile and kindness. They go out of their way to make you comfortable at all times. Dr Mackey explains everything he does and he also explains the pros and cons of different medications. I’ve never had such a thorough dermatologist. I would strongly recommend Advanced Desert Dermatology to anyone needing dermatology services.

I saw Dr. Vernon Mackey to have some cells removed from my ear. He did a fantastic job of reconstructing the surgery site. Because I am on blood thinners, I had problems with continued bleeding over a weekend. Dr. Brandon Mackey was so kind as to meet me at the office during off hours on a Saturday to help me with the problem. The staff and doctors are kind, polite and efficient, always placing the patient first in their needs. Thank you so much for all of the help I have received! F.Lindsey

I have seen Dr. Vernon Mackey for some time now. I am working on my 4th skin cancer. As a nurse I am picky about who I see and I have seen several other dermatologists in Phoenix metro with less than satisfactory outcomes. I know he will listen to me and I can advocate for my treatment options. And I know for a fact he was trained by one of the best dermatologists In AZ. Office staff are good, billing is correct and very reasonable.

Who actually enjoys going for a doctor visit knowing the there will be some cutting going on? I don't either! However, every single person in that office from the receptionist to Dr Mackey who stitched me back up made the experience as pleasant as it possibly could be. Everything went well so I'll be back in 6 months. If you're looking for a good dermatologist, here he is!

I've been coming here for several years. Always friendly customer service, seen quickly and the doctors spend plenty of time evaluating my skin, explaining things to me and answering questions and concerns. Dr. Mackey found squamous cell skin cancer on my temple that 3 other doctors said was just dry skin. My husband and children have also been seen here.

Left a poor review for Dr. Mackey and received a letter threatening to sue us for defamation. Whole family and several extended family have been patients for more than 10 years. No more I guess. He dropped my husband as a patient for leaving a review. Office staff seems to be a problem. Also outsourced billing service who never seems to have a clue what's going on. And extra charges that are not disclosed at time of service.

We have taken our son (4-years-old) to this location 5 times in the last 3 months. The doctors are always very rude and impatient. They act like you are a burden to them and any questions are a waist of their time.
As the PAYING patient we asked for certain things to be done and it was very difficult to get the doctors to do what was in our son's best interest because it would take up more of the doctors time. They would always try to talk us out of the procedure and into getting an RX we would apply ourselves instead of the doctor doing it.
