Dr. Mertzlufft is an Optometrist in Tampa providing complete eye care services for the surrounding communities. As a licensed optometrist, Dr. Mertzlufft provides exams, diagnoses, and treatments of all disorders that affect the eye or vision. I would highly recommend Dr. John Mertzlufft! I have never had such a thorough, comprehensive eye exam before. He helped me not only get glasses but bifocal contacts! I was so impressed that I took my mom for… an exam today. She had been to an eye doctor just a couple months ago and was still unhappy with her vision. Dr. Mertzlufft did such a thorough exam and found that she has macular degeneration. Something the other doctor didn’t even catch! Thank you Dr. Mertzlufft!

You can go anywhere to get glasses these days,If you are looking for quality care and eye wear this the place to go. The Dr and techs are very kind and knowledgeable.you can tell they love what they do. If you have vision issues as I do I would recommend to go to them first because they #1 focus is making sure can get back to living your best life possible. There are no pressure sale tactics they only carr about you the patient. I recommend you using eye water insurance or getting some if you don’t have any it will help offset some the expense.

I’ve been coming here for years. Dr Mertzlufft and Dr Chambers are top notch, warm & friendly, and very knowledgeable. I recently was unable to make my annual eye exam appointment due to medical reasons so the office offered to ship me a 30-day contact lens extension until I’m able to make it into the office. Proactive, accommodating, and cares about their patients. I will continue coming for years to come. Highly recommend them.
