Solar installation is a construction project that requires special skills to accomplish the goal of constructing an efficient and safe solar-electric generating system. Installing solar is important to protect from the rising costs of utility-generated electricity. When Kingdom Solar is hired to complete a solar installation, we do not sub-contract the installation out to outside sources.
System design is the process of determining a custom installation tailored to your specific energy needs and the structural and electrical framework of your home or building. Kingdom solar visits the home to gather all of the necessary information so that we can communicate to the homeowner options for solar panel roof layout, conduit runs, and electrical equipment placement.
Removals and re-installations are performed when a homeowner or building owner has existing solar installed on the roof, that needs to be removed, in order to complete a construction project. A good example of such a project would be a reroof. Removals and re-installations can also be done for the purposes of relocating the solar system to another location.
Upgrades and Add-Ons are when a homeowner's energy usage changes and they need to expand the size of the system by adding more solar panels in order to meet the demand of their current or future energy needs. The existing solar system is evaluated to determine the possibility of integrating more solar panels or a different inverter system.

I would highly recommend Kingdom Solar for all of your Solar needs. Chris was able to walk us through the whole process and making sure we are comfortable the whole way. I know there are many of you who are understandably very frustrated with your PV systems not working as expected. My 10KW system was installed back in 2005. The original installer is no longer in business. Recently I noticed one of two inverters was not working. I thought the inverter would have to be replaced ($$$$). Trying to find someone to service this old system has been difficult until now. Chris at Kingdom Solar had Andy come out the day after we first talked. Chris did me a great service, getting to the problem by guiding me over the phone. As directed by him, I snapped photos of the inverters and breaker boxes. He gave detailed step by step instructions to find the cause. Very patient, very knowledgeable and very friendly. Found external breaker had tripped but was still in ON position, hence I did not suspect it. Luckily that was the only issue. Even after spending about an hour with me, he declined to charge anything. Decent, honest owner who does not gouge his clients.

Last September I decided on Kingdom Solar after considerable thought and much research (spreadsheets, interviews with eight solar company reps, reviews etc).
I had heard about Chris through Orinda Nextdoor.com. After speaking to several of my neighbors who happened to be his customers, I met with Chris. The moment I met Chris, I knew I had found the right guy. He seemed very decent and throughly professional.
I needed to have my project completed by the end of the year to qualify for the Federal tax benefit. Chris gave me his word that project would be done on time

Kingdom Solar (Chris) designed and installed the solar power system on our home last September and both the process of working with him and the performance of the system has been outstanding.
We started by getting four quotes from highly rated contractors. While all were easy to work with during the estimation phase, Chris stood out by being the most responsive (generally immediate reply), easy to communicate with, and demonstrated the deepest level of knowledge on all aspects of the project. I don't typically write reviews but felt like these guys earned it. Great experience -- the team went above and beyond to make our project a success. I'm the type who spends an hour researching the best salad spinner, so you can imagine I asked Chris lots of questions and went back and forth on design choices. He was incredibly patient and knowledgeable, and we landed on a system that was cheaper and higher capacity than I initially expected (compared to Tesla and Sunpower). Last summer, Chris and his amazing crew installed an LG + SolarEdge PV system in our home and have been enjoying not having to pay the monthly electric bills, minus the mandatory PG&E connection fee (especially with having an EV). They were very efficient and clean with the install. They left no mess, and even made sure to paint the conduits to match the exterior of our house and replace any broken roof tiles during the install.
I am very particular about who I hire, and would definitely recommend Chris and Kingdom

Chris has proven to me he is amazing at installing solar.
Let me explain. I had someone else install the system and I learned what about solar because of the problems that I had to deal with during and after their installation. I am a dentist, I do enjoy technology and I love to do home projects. On larger projects, I like to use experts to 'do it right'. When I hired the original installer of my 12K system I ended up feeling like I knew more about solar than they did. My system hobbled along and never did work up to capacity, so I knew something was not right.
