Melissa and Bill Crandall started Can Stop to do their part in making our world a "Greener Friendly Environment" for future generations to come. Many recyclables are either thrown out in the regular trash or are littered on the street. There is nothing worse than coming home and parking in front of your house only to realize you just popped a tire running over a broken glass returnable.
Can Stop Redemption Center and Groceries, Inc. offers different options to handle your NYS returnable bottles and cans. Some options will save you tons of time. No more throwing out your bottles, let us turn them into Green for you and keep the environment Green at the same time. During the hours we are open, you can bring your NYS returnables to our bottle counters.
There are many options for our account holders. Once you set up an account, you will have the option at anytime to drop off or ask for pickup. This, again, is a great way for people who normally throw out their bottles to help put some "Green" in their pocket and "Green" into our environment. There are different options available as to when you get your check for your returns as well.

Have had several unpleasant experiences here. Don't waste your time bringing you're recyclables here....esp if you've let them build up or didn't completely wash every single can and bottle prior. Had my bags in the truck and showed up in the rain and was turned away b/c my bags were wet....yea the rain makes things wet......but oh well someone else will get my business from here on out. NEVER AGAIN WILL I GO HERE!

Can Stop Redemption Center is the very word convenience. Need a green pepper they have it! Milk, bread and so on. Or maybe something to snack on. You can even drop off you recyclables and come back at a later time or just keep it on account for when you may be a little short. The proprietors are down to earth and really care about what they are doing at work and for the community of Troy. It is a real pleasure to shopp at a real mom and pop store again. No greedy corporate thing going on hear.

Once again I say, I moved here from N YC in January of this year. I was so pleased to find this little jewel of a "mom and pop "type store just two blocks from my home on Washington Park. The proprietors are Melissa and Bill. Two of the loveliest people that I have ever met. Their staff,Racine and Carly are lovely as well. They were all so welcoming that I felt right at home. The facilities are small. But clean and orderly. It has all that one would ever need.. and a word to whomever will get one whatever one asks for. Fresh vegetables are always available.
