Back in 1998, two guys had an idea to supply chrome plated rod, honed tubing, and other related fluid power products to hydraulic repair shops in the Southeastern United States. They started the business in a small warehouse in Bay Minette, Alabama with a leaky roof, one forklift, a trusty band saw, and some inventory.
The gun drilling process produces a round hole with a precise diameter, tight concentricity tolerances, and an excellent finish. Drilling holes range from 0.125 inches to 12.5 inches in diameter. Material can be drilled up to 309 inches in length. We offer boring services for bars with a pre-existing hole or tubes to a greater internal diameter.
WIPERS, BACKUP ringS, ROD SEALS, PISTON SEALS, WEAR BANDS, ROTARY SEALS, VEE SETS, AND MORE!. CRC machines custom seals in-house with dimensional capacities up to 24 inches in diameter. We can offer sizes up to 57 inches in diameter through our supplier partners. Choose from a selection of pre-designed seal profiles or provide your own seal drawing.
Our goal with cylinder OEMs is to help with seal standardization to reduce the number of SKUs. This allows purchasing to take advantage of larger quantity breaks and reduces the number of different seals to stock. We help you manage the supply chain by establishing an in-house stocking program with min/max quantities and safety stock.
As a general guide, methods used for brass, aluminum, or lignum vitae will apply to Orkot materials. Specialized low friction bearing surface to extend dry running capabilities and further reduce friction and wear rates. The drawing below illustrates how Orkot thermoset composite materials are made.
