Services
In 2002, Dr. Yoo completed her Doctorate of Dental Surgery at Howard University. She began her career as an associate doctor before opening her own practice in The Glen Shopping Center in early 2004. She attends many continuing education seminars and is highly knowledgable in all aspects of dentistry.
If you're one of the many patients who prefer mercury-free amalgam fillings, you'll be happy to know that Dr. Yoo can accommodate your request. Dr. Yoo can improve your oral health and your smile by repairing or replacing your natural teeth with amalgam-free materials. Amalgam-free options are available for many dental procedures, including fillings and crowns.
Gone are the days when tooth trauma and cavities could only be treated with unsightly metal fillings. Today, modern, tooth-colored fillings made of durable resin can be bonded to your teeth for a stronger, more natural-looking effect. Composite fillings are virtually undetectable and require only a single appointment to apply.
If you are missing teeth and having trouble speaking or chewing, or are noticing strain when biting, bridges may be the ideal procedure to help make your mouth healthy and beautiful again. Bridges literally "bridge" gaps between teeth by filling them with strong, natural-looking artificial teeth. Bridges are semi-permanent - they can only be removed by a dentist - and are comfortable and proven to strengthen teeth.
Crowns, or dental caps, are used for both restorative and cosmetic dentistry. Crowns can help enhance the visual appearance of discolored, chipped or otherwise traumatized teeth, and can also be used to rebuild teeth that have suffered decay, breaks, or other issues that have caused them to lose strength.

Stay away. Came in and got 3 fillings. Paid and left. Got a call 6 months later to come back in a pay $100. Tried to charge me extra after the fact. Within a year all the fillings broke and fell out. New dentist ask me who did this work. I told him and he just shook his head.

Dr Yoo has been our family's dentist for 20 years. She has done a super job with everything from checkups and cleanings, to fillings, crowns and one implant. We have had many dentists as we moved around for 40 years before moving to Virginia. We trust Dr. Yoo more than any dentist we have ever had in the past.
