What a party! I wanted to let you know that Andrew's birthday party was great a success and that he and his friends had a wonderful time. As usual, your ability to relate to the kids amazed us. The party was fun for everyone, advanced or novice martial art enthusiasts. They all had a wonderful time playing hard while learning some skills and having so much fun.

You would be doing your child your family and your community a disservice if you didn’t enroll them in this family martial arts program.
Overnight you will see a transformation, whereas, your children will ask to do their chores, will shout back “yes sir” or “yes ma’am”. They will learn discipline and pride through excellence and overall develop the confidence and responsibility to carry them into the young adulthood.
From the genesis of our relationship with Sifu Rick, we have seen nothing but great results in our children. The kind they can’t get from going to school. Sifu Rick

At this dojo they build leaders.. not followers.
My two kids, ages 10 and 7, can't be at the dojo enough. My 10 year old has been training with them for about 7 years now... and has learned a foundation that they rarely teach in school. He has become more focused, built in strength and stamina. He has shown pride in mastering skills that previously seemed difficult to him. I've seen his self-confidence soar and his physical strength increase over these many years, and his stripes on his belt, is immeasurable. All of this I can only attribute to Sifu Rick, as I can’t say enough about his classes

This is a great place for kids to learn karate. My 8 year old son is a student. I wasn't sure if karate was something he'd stick with because he's not very into group activities. He loves this class and can't wait to go every time. I think this is because of the high level teaching by Sifu Rick. He's the best mix of kindness, discipline, fun, and structure. We couldn't be happier with what we're seeing at home with our son. He is so motivated by karate and even practices in his free time, wanting to improve.

My two kids have been taught mixed martial arts by Sifu Rick for about 10 years now. The transformation of both of them has been phenomenal. My daughter has become someone who has the confidence to stare down a bully at work, firmly but respectfully state her position, and calmly and gracefully bring someone to the floor if necessary. She is poised, confident, polite, and brave. This is all due to Sifu Rick and his staff. My son has become a respectful tower of power, harnessing his will to respect legitimate authority and gain the knowledge he needs to defend himself well, while learning to be

My daughter loves going to class at Family Martial Arts. She says it is challenging, fun and provides great exercise. As a parent, I see that my daughter is more disciplined and focuses in class. I like that Sifu Rick is positive and encouraging towards the kids. He ties his lessons into real life, like listening the first time and cleaning up. He holds kids accountable for their behavior (in a kind and positive way). His classes are fast paced and keeps kids engaged. I have recommended Family Martial Arts to many of my friends. Great place!

Both of my sons go to Family Martial Arts. They are learning a lot more than just martial arts from Ric and William - they are really great about reinforcing some of the values we are trying to instill in our boys about respect, thoughtfulness and encouragement of others. One of my boys has ADHD and his behavior can be challenging at times. Rick and William have done a great job of providing him with expectations and boundaries and he has responded well and really looks forward to going twice a week.

I wanted to start my daughter in martial arts. Tried a few places & then found Family Martial Arts Academy & we absolutely love it here! The instructors are all amazing! I have never seen my girl have so much fun or be so excited to go workout! I recommend this place to anyone & everyone. They also have classes for adults & am looking forward to kickboxing!

Family Martial Arts is more than just a place to learn Karate, they teach all sorts of lessons in conjunction with the exercise part. Our kindergarten speech therapist last year suggested Karate bc it is a similar strategy to control your body to speech, slowing down, thinking, breathing, listening to your body. That was benefit 1. Benefit 2 was from the lesson. His main instructor teaches to "tell the truth and keep my word". One day, My son told me something when I asked him a question, walked out of room, came back and said, wait, mom, "I need to tell the truth and keep my word

Rick and his staff provide one of the most healthy, well-rounded learning environments you can find for youth sport. The curriculum is an artful combination of life lessons and age appropriate physical training. Students are regularly recognized for their efforts to incorporate classroom learnings at home and school. We couldn't be happier with our child's experience and highly recommend Bainbridge Family Martial Arts!

I love this place, my toddler enjoys it (most days) he is a toddler.. ;)
However, I love the lessons and the way they implement them, the teachers are awesome with the kids, there are 3 for the little dragon group... Two teen kids and a main teacher William... Who is GREAT with the kids, his voice commands respect and attention, without being harsh or mean. The kids pay attention to him and Nick with the quickness! I suggest if you have a toddler that needs confidence, listening and focus skills, this is an excellent way to go about it, as a parent, I have watched and learned myself, and implement
