It started in the late 1980's with Terri, the artist and John, the engineer in their garage. We started an artisan tile company from 1988 through 2015. When we changed locations we made some changes to our business and decided to discontinue our custom tile manufacturing. However, because of our long history immersed in the art tile community we are able to fulfill your custom tile needs through other artists from around the country.
We relocated our retail showroom. Lutz Tile enjoys meeting with their clients and developing an excellent rapport. We went to Lutz after ordering samples from multiple different places online. We could not find the right color that we were imagining. We had seen Lutz tile after buying new appliances from Weirs next door. We decided to give them a try! After emailing Terri, we were immediately in great hands. She pulled as many different samples that she thought we would like. When we showed up they were all laid out for us. After seeing one that could work in a different finish. Years ago, when we needed to have our bathroom tile redone due to water leak damage, we went to Lutz Tile when they were located across from The Power Station in Puyallup. John Lutz worked with my daughter and I and we came up with a beautiful plan. It turned out great. I always had fond memories of Lutz Tile, so when we decided to update our other two bathrooms I wanted to go back to a Lutz. John is retired now, but his wife Terri and associate Tammy are running the operation and doing a fabulous job.
