Services
Taylor's Junkyard was founded by Glenn W. Taylor in the mid 1950's. He bought and sold scrap metals and dealt in car parts. In January of 2006, his Grandson Lloyd Taylor purchased the junkyard and continued the family business. The brothers have expanded the business to include two 70 foot truck scales, a roll-off container service, a shredder and a variety of other heavy duty scrap handling equipment.
Our full service scrap yard in Cartersville has extensive processing and loading/unloading capabilities. Our equipment includes two 70 foot truck scales, small scales, heavy metal shears, grapple cranes, magnets, and a shredder. We are 10 minutes (2 turns) off of I-75. We have a friendly workforce that will help direct you once on the yard.
The best way to find out the current price of scrap metal is to call our yard at 678-230-7976. We will be able to give you a quick price quote on all of the common metals on our price sheet. Sometimes odd type scrap metals such as zinc, manganese, or metal turnings may require us to check with our buyers and call you back.
Also, vehicles 12 model years old and older may be legally sold by the rightful owner without the title by signing the provided form. For example if your car weighs 3500 lbs and current market value is 10 cents per pound you would receive $350.00. Our process is fast and easy, and you should be in and out in minutes.

I come here alot and have had no problems until today August 21st, 2021. I got there at 4:50 and they weighed me in and I went to unload. S young boy on the magnet machine came over and started pulling things from the trailer and he bent my tailgate
I asked him to stop but he continued on until he pulled the weld off the gate and ripped my lights off. Now it's going to take everything I made plus some to get it fixed. He doesn't need to be on that machine at all or even work for Taylors because he was so rude and dangerous!

Best scrapyard for 100 miles by a long shot! All these reviews saying these guys are low ballers or that they wouldn't recommend Taylor's to anyone: you obviously don't understand how scrap yards work. You bring them metal, they weigh that metal, and they tell you how much they will pay you for that metal, usually as a function or percentage of the current (daily or weekly) scrap price for that metal in bulk quantities you do not possess... They have to make a profit or they couldn't continue to offer his service, they don't take plastic (even plastic bins and bags) because it's worth NOTHING any
