To practice orthodontics, Dr. Scaffidi spent 11 years in training (four years of college, four years of dental school, and three years of orthodontics residency). The orthodontic student spends three years learning the skills needed to manage tooth movement and to guide facial development.
When I see a patient's self-esteem blossom as they see their appearance change, I find myself smiling. They walk with a firmer step, seek out conversation and relationships with others, and show their biggest smiles. It's a privilege to watch these changes, and an honor to play a role in making them happen.

Staff is very welcoming! Dr. Scaffidi was detailed in explaining everything to me. I have prior ortho treatment and he broke down my treatment plan to make it all make sense. The office is clean and nice. Prices are affordable, of course it all depends on the individuals need/treatment process. I would recommend to anyone looking for orthodontist treatment in the Lakeview area!

I can't stop smiling! I definitely did my research trying to find an orthodontist in New Orleans. And I'm really glad I went with Dr. Scaffidi. Dr. Scaffidi and his staff at the Kenner location are amazing! I had an appointment to day and even with COVID everything was perfect. I haven’t gotten my braces on yet, but will be soon. My brother and sister have already had their braces taken off and love how their smiles look. I can’t wait for mine to look the same!

As a 40+ year old adult, walking into an Orthodontist office can feel like a strange place when the average patient is in their teens, but everything about working with Dr. Scaffidi has been a breeze even since the initial consultation.
Great staff, very communicative and they strive to be on time with appointments. Even the location is easy to get to with tons of parking.
And of course, the most important part – the product: I'm only a few months into a 27 month treatment and the results I see already are pretty dramatic. I can't wait to see how things look at the end.

Dr. Scaffidi has been wonderful. He is very thorough and explains everything to my teenage son with patience and respect. There’s was a mixup at our last appointment and we somehow showed up at the wrong time and they just fit us right in. No problems. No worries. And my son’s teeth are fast improving. It’s truly been a great experience with a friendly and helpful doctor. He is a true professional.

As a current dental student, I decided to improve my smile before seeing my future patients. I did a lot of homework to search for a reliable orthodontist and heard a lot of great things about Dr. Scaffidi. Indeed, he is the one I can trust!
