It is always our goal at the office of Shannon Simons, DDS APDC to offer our patients the very best orthodontic care in Metairie, LA and the surrounding communities. We take pride in staying up-to-date with all modern orthodontic advancements, as well as continually working to further our education.
Traditional braces use stainless steel brackets and archwires to move your teeth into their proper position. Many teenagers like to decorate their braces with different colored rubber bands to give them a colorful and unique smile. You can choose a new color (or colors) during every adjustment! Invisalign(R) is a modern, alternative treatment to braces.
Each patient's treatment is unique. At your complimentary first visit, Dr. Simons will discuss treatment options, approximate treatment duration, and costs. At this visit, Dr. Simons will examine your teeth, bite, facial form, profile, and jaw joints. If an X-ray is indicated, there will be a charge for this service.
Dr. Simons is happy to offer in-house, interest-free financing if invoices are paid within contract terms. Outside third-party financing is also available. Discounts are offered for payments in full at the start of treatment. Dr. Simons' staff is committed to helping you maximize your insurance benefits.
Dr. Simons' Roth Williams Advanced Education training sets her apart. The Roth Williams technique furthers an orthodontist's training to not only straighten teeth for an attractive smile, but also to correct the patient's bite to keep teeth in harmony with jaw joints (TMJ) and facial muscles. Prior to explaining an individualized treatment plan and options, a Roth trained orthodontist studies a patient's records.

Dr. Simmons is absolutely amazing! I had an issue with my retainers not fitting correctly and I was able to text her & she met me at her office, despite it being Sunday, and helped me to resolve the issue. She is always very kind and you can tell she truly cares for her patients. Her staff is very friendly/welcoming too. I’m very happy with my experience with them and I am super excited about my Invisalign results!

THE BEST orthodontist anyone could ask for. Dr. Simons does not rush through appointments. She takes her time and gets to know each of her patients. I have gotten so many compliments on my teeth since getting braces over 10 years ago and I owe it all to her and her team! Her office is very clean, welcoming, and family friendly. I wouldn't trust anyone else with my teeth!

Our daughter was referred to Dr. Shannon Simons by our dentist. We felt completely comfortable with Dr. Simons right from the start. She was kind, friendly and welcoming. The first couple of visits were just consultations. Dr. Simons did not rush us into getting braces and waited until the right time. Once the process started, everything was explained clearly.
