At Rainbow, we provide the ideal program for what is often a child's first experience away from home. We are committed to the growth of each child in a warm, intimate environment that fosters self-acceptance, exploration and relationship building. Our curriculum allows children to develop their social, physical and cognitive skills through a variety of play-based activities including art, music, dramatic play, storytelling, cooking, gardening, yoga and dance.
Services
Kim has owned and directed Rainbow Family Childcare since 1985. She holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology, emphasis in Child Development, and a Master of Arts in Early Childhood Education. In addition to teaching the children at Rainbow, she has lectured in Child Development at SFSU since 2006. Hilary holds a Masters of Fine Arts and has worked in Reggio inspired outdoor preschools.

Rainbow was a second home for our little guy for 2 wonderful years, and I just don’t have enough words to recommend it! Kim and the team are going above and beyond to create an incredible experience for the kids. From personal and loving care, to delicious home made food, variety of learning activities, and making sure every kid is heard and loved.
Hands down, there's no place like Rainbow! We miss it every day, and we truly see it as part of our family!
