When you walk up the sidewalk, does the entryway draw you towards it? Or, do you spill your coffee because your heel sticks in a crack, causing you to stumble forward? Do you have a beautiful, backyard patio upholding your precious loved ones as you make memories through parties, barbecues, or a peaceful, summer evening dinner?
If you're looking to find a concrete contractor in the Minneapolis St. Paul Twin Cities, CC Concrete primarily serves the Northwest Suburbs. The following is a list of cities we most often work in, but if your city is not listed, pleaserequest a bidanyways. We may be able to do it or refer someone to you.
We pour on properly graded ground and fill the ground with a rock and sand mix base (class 5)if needed. We also compact the soil prior to the pour, creating a more stable slab. This is the standard width of concrete for sidewalks, patios, driveways, pool decks, pole sheds (most flat-work). The thickness may need to increase if you plan on driving or parking heavy equipment on the concrete.
Some options to consider are circles, squares, rectangles, clover-shaped, or our favorite - a combination that gently curves and slopes to match your landscape. Take a garden hose or rope and place it in the form of the shape that you would like your patio. Show it to your contractor, take a picture of it, or make a sketch of your house/building with the patio coming off of it.
A porch and stairway is usually the first thing visitors see upon coming to your home. Therefore, this area should be aesthetically beautiful, warm, inviting, as well as safe to enter. In damaged or older concrete entryways, it's especially important to fix sunken concrete and large cracks that heels of shoes get caught in.
