Our family owned and operated childcare center offers a loving, nurturing early childhood program that focuses on the individual needs of each family and child. Your child will experience a structured day with emphasis both on social and academic development with our "Kindergarten readiness" curriculum.
Our infant and toddler areas are separate from the older children to promote both safety and to provide the healthiest environment possible. Older children are not permitted into the infant and toddler classrooms. We take your child's safety and security seriously. The building has a monitored fire and safety system along with a security entrance into our facility.

Lisa Dye has been with us at Hand In Hand Children's Center since our opening in 2000. Lisa coordinates enrollment, manages staff, and oversees the daily operations of our daycare and preschool program. Lisa has many years of experience in the Early Childhood field. Our teachers are experienced mothers, grandmothers, and college aged students majoring in child care and education related studies. All teachers are required by the center to attend continuing education trainings throughout the year. Everyone on staff must complete a background screening prior to employment.
Our Toddler classroom cares for children from age 12 to 24 months. As with our infant class, we have 8 children in our toddler area. We maintain the State of Missouri required one to four teacher/ toddler ratio. Your toddler will have space to explore in our large classroom. Our daily schedule includes story time, music, and an introduction into age appropriate arts and crafts.
Classrooms in our two year old program follow the State of Missouri ratio of one teacher to eight children. This is an exciting time for your little one as we begin our Kindergarten Readiness Curriculum. Your child will be introduced to colors, shapes, letters, numbers and much more as we begin our preschool journey.

The staff actually teach the children good curriculum and have treated the classrooms like an actual school. This will make an easier transition into Kindergarten for my little one. There are a lot of daycares out there that will just "babysit" your child but this place will actually help and develop your child for an easier way to transition into school or just to socialize a young child as well. No complaints thus far and would recommend this facility to anyone in the search for childcare.

Really high priced for what you get. Especially for part-time care. The actual daycare workers were really sweet with the children. One thing that bothered me was that every project my child did, when I asked my child about it, they always told me how they did a little bit but the teacher did the majority. On literally every project. This facility does not give much independence. I mostly joined for the pool, but my child only got to do it a few times total the first summer, then maybe 5 times this summer. Also, no report ever of how your child is progressing. They send home a "daily report" but

If you are looking for a daycare for your children this is the place. My oldest son started attending when he was 18 months old, he is 3 now and we are still there. Before Hand in Hand we were in an in home daycare and they didn't really do anything with my son. He was always sick and it just wasn't good enough. After we started Hand in Hand we saw a huge improvement in my son's social skills, he is still shy but he is much more open, also- they do stuff from the time the kids hit 1 year old they are always learning, creating, singing and staying active- did I mention they have a pool? For my youngest

Our grandsons attend Hand In Hand every year for summer camp. The boys really enjoy camp especially getting to swim everyday. They have made good friends that they get to reconnect with each summer. The staff is very caring and everyone knows my grandsons by name.
The center is clean and clearly will managed. They have activities planned each day for the kids to do.
We have nothing but positive things to say about our experiences at Hand In Hand. We will definitely be back next summer
