I was charged with a DUI in March of 2021, and by May of 2021 my case was resolved and my charges were reduced to a DWAI. Nick Cummings, personally responded to my initial call on a weekend after I was charged and gave me very insightful information on how to keep my license and what steps I needed to complete in order to successfully manage my case. Nick informed me that I would need to proceed with the DMV as well as the criminal courts and that DUI's are handled in a very specific manner, prior to this phone call I had no clue how to proceed. I was referred to Nick Cummings by a trusted attorney friend who said Nick and Joe Petrone were the best attorneys for my problem. I was the victim of an attempted scam where someone claiming to be my son (and sounding exactly like him) called me saying he was in an auto accident and was being held in jail. "My son" said i would shortly receive a call from his public defender explaining bail, and I must send money quickly. I am sorry it took this long to make this review but Nick Cummings is honestly the BEST lawyer in Fort Collins, as is Joe. Nick was once a DA in Fort Collins that prosecuted some small driving charge i had, so of course i was a little biased. Then he started his firm with Joe I believe around 2017/2018 when I needed representation for my divorce and for some reason their name called to me from their very new Google Ad. I recently had to deal with an issue with my employer, and I decided to reach out for legal representation to assist with my situation. Based on some prior negative experiences with larger law firms, I reached to Cummings & Petrone based on their being local to the Northern Colorado area, being a smaller firm, and being a firm that was approved through my union's legal protection plan.
