Turned out I didnae need them, but they were willing to have me tow my truck in same day. My truck is almost 40 and some shops won't work on older stuff. When I forgot to call them, I got a call back before they went home. Didn't end up needing mechanical service but I've never seen a good shop that didn't also have good mechanics if their office staff was top notch. I forgot their rep's name but I hope they give her a commendation.

While on a road trip I started having a worrisome noise from my passenger side front end. I adjusted a panel in the wheel well area and it appeared to fix it for the most part. I had already got it stuck in my head that there was possibly a wheel bearing issue and had a lot of miles left to drive so made an appointment. These guys were great. Drove van and to assess and looked underneath. All looked good and maybe a loose heat shield causing some noise. No charge and they sent me on my way with piece of mind. Thank you so much.

I love the people here, they are knowledgeable and they don't overcharge, or try to can you to spend money you don't need to. Actually they have always tried to save me money!
They are extremely courteous, and they treated my vehicle like it was their own.
I recommend this place to anyone who needs to bring their car into a shop.
Rick, the owner, has worked on all my family's vehicles since we found the shop, and will continue to do so as long as we have cars! :P

I had to come leave a note about how awesome Rick and his shop were to us today. We got towed there on recommendation by AAA, at 6am. Rick greeted us promptly after they opened a couple hours later, and jumped head first into debugging my electrical issue, despite letting me know he was also on a deadline for another customer today. He explained the logic and mechanics behind the problem and the fix, clearly and concisely. He was able to order us a new fuse once he diagnosed the problem, which arrived within the hour, and we were out of there within 2 hours of meeting him that morning. I was astounded

R & D has been my trusted mechanic for 10 years now. Rick & Team used to work on my Audi and when I went back to a Subaru Outback, I decided to stay with them because of his team's honest work and their ability to diagnose my car issues and correct them at reasonable pricing in a timely manner! I've recommended them to several friends now and everyone has had the same experience. My boyfriend, so much that he has one of their license plates on his Sprinter van. LOL. I don't often leave reviews on yelp, but I think Rick deserves 5 stars for how informative, transparent, and helpful he and his team at R & D were. My MINI broke down suddenly not long after being worked on at another shop in town. I got towed to R & D only because they were associated with my AAA. Rick and his staff were super nice, informative, and quick to diagnose and repair the issue with my car for a price that felt totally fair. Even better, Rick called me a little over a week later to check in to see how things were going which is just awesome. I will definitely keep taking

A little over a year ago these guys replaced my fuel pump and helped diagnose and fix a nagging issue with my Jeep that I had spent many hours working on. I was very happy with the service.
Then a couple of weeks ago it started having intermittent problems so I took it back to them. Turns out the fuel pump had gone bad. They covered everything under their warranty, no charge. Sweet!
They do good work and they stand behind it.

I recently had to get my car repaired and I was too far away from my usual independent Porsche shop.
They replaced the driveshaft/carrier bearing assembly.
The work was done to my satisfaction and fairly quickly.
However...the mechanic that did the work said in the notes that all the fluids we're dirty and probably never been changed, including the oil!
Just because there were no stickers saying mileage and dates of fluid change, he assumed that they were not done.
I keep everything up to par on my Porsche Cayenne!
ALL FLUIDS including the transmission fluid, ( which Porsche claims is lifetime

Rick shows a rare combination of automotive expertise and willingness to explain things in detail to customers. He probably prefers Porsches, but he spent a ton of time painstakingly troubleshooting an issue we had with our 1989 Chevy truck, and met the challenge with success. Bad Service. I took my 944 Turbo in after changing the timing belt due to some vibration in the upper RPMs that was not there before. R&D proceeded to take the apart the car WITHOUT giving it a test drive to properly diagnose the issue, told me that the balance shafts were fine and the vibration was "normal" after charging $500 for labor. The car still had the vibration so I adjusted the balance shafts myself and it went away. Waste of money.

I started taking my cars to R&D about 3 years ago. I have a 03 Jaguar X-Type, 05 Acura TL, 08 Accord V6 and my 13 Ram 1500 Hemi. I would not trust work being done by ANYONE ELSE! Rick is straight forward and doesn't BS you with "extras." R&D may cost a few more $$ in labor, but you get what you pay for! I've never had to take my cars back for a second visit to correct a repair. I TRUST Rick and his team for spectacular HONEST service! Don't pay attention to the 1-star review. If I remember correctly, there was a Porsche that was brought in that had a dead possum in the air intake!

Since the late 80s early 1990s I have been bringing every car I ever owned to Rick at R&D motorsports. He has maintained my 1976 Toyota Land Cruiser my 2006 Ford F2 50 diesel my Jaguar and my classic 56 Chevy. Nothing but good old-fashioned service. Never sells you more than you need I couldn't be happier

My first experience with Rick was in 1993 when I took my 911SC Targa in to have the drivers side power window repaired.
I told Rick to replace the power window motor- a $350 job (then!). Rick said that he would be happy to, but all it really needed was a $15 switch.
I knew at that moment that I had found my Mechanic For Life!
Rick and his team have worked on my cars for the past 22 years and have never let me down.
I strongly recommend them...

This repair shop is the place you dream about. I found them through 2 separate local recommendations a few years ago. The owner (Rick) is straight-forward, ethical, reasonable and really knows his stuff. I have found their pricing to be very competitive or even cheaper than the dealer/other shops. I have been bringing our Audi A4 here for a few years and have recently also brought in our Toyota Camry. Excellent service.
