Dr. Scannon received his training from Emory University, Department of Dermatology and at the University of South Florida, College of Medicine in Internal Medicine. He is a member of the prestigious Noah Worchester Dermatological Society, American Academy of Dermatology, Hillsborough County Medical Association, Florida Society of Dermatology, American Society of Dermatologic Surgery and the Photomedicine Society to name just a few.
Michele Martinez is a licensed Facial Specialist, Certified Electrologist, Medical Assistant, and Certified Dermatology Tech. Since 1992, she has been working in Dermatology with Dr. Michael Scannon providing individualized skin care regimens and services. As a Facial Specialist she evaluates the cosmetic needs of each client and creates programs which address their needs.

I was referred here by my doctor to check something on my skin. Though my insurance company says they are in-network, and their website seems to indicate they accept my insurance, when I tried to book apt online (through zocdoc), a popup warning came up indicating they were out of network and i might be charged a lot. So I decided to call instead. I was told 2 people were ahead of me and put on hold. After 5 min the hold music stopped but I was still connected. I don't like writing negative reviews. I especially don't like writing this review because the doctor is a good gu.y. But I feel he's winding down the practice running out the clock and more interested I just handing out topicals and Botox etc. I have had psoriasis since infancy 50pdd years sometimes bad sometimes good.
The last 14 months have been really bad and the doctor didn't seem able to read simple signs that his prescribed treatments were making thing worse. It's a long story but at the end he kept peering at my legs and prescribing topicals and moisturizers

I was so excited to book an appt here after reading the great reviews. My skin is the worst it has ever been and I couldn't wait for a professional to finally help me. When I called to book the appt I told the receptionist I wanted to be seen for a full body check for moles as well as being seen for acne. I saw the NP who was nice but was in such a rush. I have a history of basal cell skin moles and melanoma runs in my family. She BARELY looked at my body. Didn't even look under the gown at my chest back or stomach. Went to doctor Scannons office located in South Tampa off of Armenia Avenue on a Monday morning at 8 AM. I filled out all 6 pages of all the medical basic information paperwork and was seen within 5 minutes of submitting all my paperwork. Office staff was shared between 2 different doctors offices so they seemed a bit short, rushed in answering questions and it come off as a bit rude. Although the staff was not particularly nice, they were relatively quick. They had some cool magazines to read which kept me occupied. The decor of the place was a little bit older and could probably use a renovation

I made an appointment with Sandy Snyder, who is wonderful. The cream she recommended for me was turned down by my insurance and she contacted them and took care of getting it approved without me having to do anything. I am beyond pleased with this group (this is not the first time I have been here, and I always see her). I highly recommend.
