Called for a chimney sweep / inspection. They were able to get me in the schedule and came out right before Thanksgiving. Other companies I called were booking out into January.
They were prompt, professional and courteous to my fiancee who was home during the inspection. There were two fireplaces but because they both were in such good shape, only charged for one. Very nice company to work with

I spoke with the owner on the phone, and his son Vinny came out to inspect my chimney. Both were great to work with, inspired confidence in their professional knowledge and their ethical standards of doing business. Vinny explained how to take care of my fireplace and chimney to reduce maintenance costs, and explained what he was doing and why I didn't need a cleaning. Such helpful explanations and courteous service. Great follow-up, and they fit me in during the busy season. I will be calling them every time. Thank you!

I needed to have both chimney chambers inspected/cleaned before the heating season. Ricky returned my call promptly, and said he could come by within 24 hours. In fact, he showed up within a couple of hours!
He was very professional, knowledgeable, and personable, got right to the job, explained what he was doing, gave tons of tips about furnace efficiency, fireplace efficiency, future maintenance, etc. As he finished he tested the air flow in both chambers to ensure that they were in proper working order.

Vinny and his colleague were awesome and informative. This is my first time having a home with a chimney, so he answered all of my questions and then gave me information I didn't even know I needed. This was our first time hiring Alton's Finest to clean our chimney. Mr. Meuse showed up on time and worked quickly and expertly and determined that we didn't need a full cleaning at this time, which saved us a bunch of money. Highly recommend! I needed my chimney cleaned and inspected fo safety, as well as some bricks repointed, cap put in, and waterproofing.
Prices were VERY reasonable and I appreciated the quick lesson in how to start a fire in the chimney (the right way). I will give them a call next time I need a cleaning!

I had a great experience with Altons Finest. It can be difficult finding honest people when you need work done. Either you don't hear back or the prices are crazy but not with Ricky. He got right back to me. A good tip is to give him all your info up front so he doesn't have to exchange texts as it sounds like he gets a lot of business related ones! He came right out and was so honest. He said upfront that if I didn't need a cleaning then he would let me know and I didn't need one so I only paid for the inspection. I am very glad to have picked Alton's Finest for my first chimney inspection. Ricky conducted a thorough and honest inspection of the fireplace and chimney, showing me exactly what he found and teaching me along the way. He also was incredibly informative and taught me a lot about what I need to do to keep the fireplace in safe and proper working condition. Ricky responded immediately to my request for a quote. I called on a Sunday to book an appointment that needed to be done by Monday or Tuesday, an emergency situation. He said he would get to me on Monday, I was also told to text my address and what the emergency was. I received a message that he could get the job done today( Sunday).

Ricky is terrific. Very friendly and communicative, and his prices are fair. He came to clean the chimney for our woodstove insert, and it turned out that the caps on our chimney were bluestone, and weighed about 60 pounds each, and it wouldn't allow him to clean the flue with his current tools. He explained he could come back with the right equipment, but it would be 30 dollars more. We asked him to come back because we liked him and the price still seemed fair. He came back two days later, on time, and got right to work. He also informed me that he would charge me the original price he quoted

Ricky was quick to respond and we booked it for Friday. He showed up on time. He cleaned and inspected our wood stove and chimney. He did a great job. He showed us pictures of before and after the clean up. He also pointed out some damage in the chimney we should repair. He showed us pictures of the damage. He also gave us a quote to fix it, if we wanted too. He was friendly and professional.
