I meant to review this business 3 years ago when we purchased our home, but obviously forgot. George is one of those honest tradesmen that are about as rare as unicorns. After having two companies tell me I needed thousands of dollars in liners, George came in, said the crack the other guys told me about was a glob of masonry and that my chimney was fine. When I asked him if he would light a fire if this was his home, he replied "absolutely". I'll take the word of a small business owner with over 40 years of experience over the newer companies whose employees work on commission

I just had my carpet cleaned for Christmas and Georgetown Chimney Sweep came in and got soot and dirt all over it. I had covered the carpet near the fireplace but didn't realize I should have covered the entire room. After paying and bringing this to the attention of the owner, he offered to give me $30.00, I am not sure what I am supposed to do with that but I know next time I will use someone more professional. Very disappointed.

As a new resident I was happy to have someone as knowledgeable as George come to our house. He pointed out many homes that he'd worked on right on our street. Cleaned and capped the chimney, gave plenty of pointers and let me know where to get the best cord wood. Georgetown Chimney Sweep was exactly what we were looking for.
