Dr. Flannick is a licensed psychologist in Beaver County, PA with professional experience as a mental health practitioner dating to 1977. Parakleseos, LLC offers individual, marital, and family psychotherapy, as well as psychologic testing for lethal weapons and other purposes in Beaver County. Intensive individual, marital and family psychotherapy is offered Friday evening through Saturday afternoon.

Individuals of all ages are treated, from preschoolers with behavior problems to centenarians. Services are provided from a Christian perspective. The name of the practice (Parakleseos) is the Greek word meaning to encourage, comfort, console, advocate, and support. It is the same word from which Paraclete, a Biblical name for the Holy Spirit, is derived.
Services
Dr. Krouk subsequently left the practice, leaving sole ownership to Dr. Flannick. Between 1996 and 2010, Parakleseos provided (in addition to traditional outpatient services) Behavioral Health Rehabilitation Services (BHRS), otherwise known as wraparound services. The Christian perspective of the practice has been present since day one.
Many types of issues are addressed in individual sessions, including marital issues, child management problems, other relationship problems, job stresses, religious questions, and so on; many individuals have symptoms of depression or anxiety. The couple is seen together, and issues that get in the way of a better martial relationship are addressed.
Dr. Flannick's professional experience dates to 1977, when he obtained his first full-time position in mental health at the Children and Youth Unit of South Community Mental Health Center, a public facility serving the southern suburbs of the Dayton, Ohio metro area.

Without interruption, he has practiced clinically ever since, treating children as well as adults in inpatient, residential, nursing home, and outpatient venues, and even the incarcerated using individual, marital, family, and group psychotherapy.
The family is the domestic church, where children learn to love and reverence God. It is also the foundation on which God builds society, and our refuge as we struggle with the challenges of life. Thus, harmonious relationships within the family are of paramount importance; and the goal of family counseling is the achievement of this harmony.
This service is provided to those wishing to be certified to carry a lethal weapon (Act 120 & Act 235 clearences). It typically involves an individual interview of up to 45 minutes, administration of the Minnesota Multiphasic Personality Inventory - 2 (MMPI-2), and completion of a brief report that is sent to the police department or state of Pennsylvania.
