Readymade: We also offer pre-made cakes and pies in a variety of flavors and sizes for convenient carry out service. There's a huge selection of "own made" ice cream flavors to choose from, the staff is pretty helpful & friendly. However there's not a lot of room inside to sit down if your party has over 2 people, the door was a little difficult to negotiate for my elderly grandmother that uses a walker, and I thought it was a tad high priced (compared to Dairy Queen) . I really liked the location though, it's right in a safe, popular section of southington that seems to be an evening hotspot . . . I'm not a big hard ice cream person but I would definitely go there again!

Ordered my very pick four year olds ice cream cake and thought it was going to be ugly--but all things he loooves. Ice cream, rainbow sprinkles and trains. My husband picked it up and I couldn't believe how perfect and beautiful the cake came out. Cake was also delicious, we've ordered several ice cream cakes from Praline's and they're always super delicious but this was just over the top and extra special. Thank you so much for the time and detail put into the cake, perfection!!

Amazing icecream!!! We just bought our daughter a birthday cake, and we were beyond impressed, and so were our guests. Our daughter just had her 6th birthday party. It was so nice to be able to customize our cake with choice of ice cream, frosting accents as well as picture. From the initial order, to pickup it was a seamless and wonderful experience. She is already talking about what she wants on her next cake. We have been getting ice cream here for years, but this was our first cake purchase. That will be changing!!! Thank you so much!!!

Love the large ice cream flavor selection! They also have seasonal flavors - in the winter, they had peppermint and eggnog! I was told that their most popular flavor was bees knees and I could definitely see why - a delicious graham-based with chocolate chunks/crisp flavor that isn't too sweet but still creamy and delicious. They also carried sherbet options for those who may be lactose intolerant but still wanted to fulfill their sweet tooth

I don't go to Praline's often because I try to avoid ice cream... today, however we ventured in for a treat. Ryan was working the store alone and took time to be sure we were happy! He even made suggestions and recommendations when he learned my preferences. The shop wasn't busy so I wouldn't expect this kind of attention with a full house but I wanted to acknowledge Ryan's attentive and friendly service!

Waited 15 mins for two cones of ice cream, there was a line out the door and the poor girl was all alone taking cake orders and the phone kept ringing off the wall so every minute she would have to stop what she was doing and answer.The owner/manager should have two people working. Atleast the ice cream was good. Don't come here if you plan on wasting a good day waiting indoors.

Cannot say enough wonderful things about this business. I've always loved going there since I was young and bringing my nephews not that they love ice cream, The owners are amazing and once year when I forgot they have different winter hours and left me unable to order a cake in the normal time constraints, I emailed and she went in early to make the cake I wanted the same day!!! Amazing business. Amazing people. Amazing ice cream!

Ice cream is good but this place is so ridiculously over priced. They had a sign displayed "we don't fill our cups to the line thank you for your understanding". I travel all over the state and portion to price does not work at this location. I got a medium cup with sprinkles $4.60 the problem is the medium portion is a kids or small at other ice cream locations. Looking for great home made ice cream try Mortenson's on the Berlin Turnpike worth every penny with huge portions!!!

Stopped in here last night at 8:45pm after having dinner next door. I wanted to get a soft serve ice cream and the girl said they just finished cleaning the machine. The sign on the door said "opened daily from noon-10pm" so kind of confused as to why soft serve machine is shut down over an hour before closing. Really disappointing and won't be back.

Overrated. The ice cream is not as rich as you would think, and the flavors that have items mixed in (such as chocolate chips) have enough of the "mix-in." The only flavor I have found that I halfway like is the cookies and cream. If you have the time, head south in Rte. 10 to Sweet Claude's in Cheshire. Now, THAT is gourmet ice cream!!!

You can read other reviews praising their ice cream. All true. Also amazing donuts. But I save my highest praise for the comfortable atmosphere and friendly service (John). We were in the area today for a meeting that got postponed for 5 hours and needed a place to pass some of the time. Landed at Praline's, where the coffee, donuts and comfort factor were all 5 stars!
