Planting is in full swing and we continue to grow second crops of all the flower power you can imagine. Fertilizers, gardening gloves and everything in between can be found all year round for your summer needs. The best part of this crisp cool nostalgic season, is the fact that you can prep for spring at the same time!
Planting bulbs, trees and shrubs at this time of year is easy and beneficial for your future garden. Decorations for fall, house plants and succulents to keep you cheery as the temps dip and pumpkins truly put you in the spirit of football Sundays and flannel shirts. Since 1890, A. J. Rahn Greenhouses has earned its reputation for growing premium flowering plants in the Cincinnati area.

Services
On behalf of the State of Ohio, congratulations on celebrating your 125th year in business. Throughout the years, you have been a valued source for growing quality flowering plants in the Cincinnati area. We commend your continued commitment to your customers and to the beautification of the communities you serve.
The best part of my job is seeing our loyal and ardent plant loving clients who truly love what the greenhouse has to offer. They become family and it is a joy to see them year after year. Being the grower for my family's business is fulfilling in so many ways. I appreciate the opportunity to serve my community as well as my heritage as we were farmers in Germany.

Tis the season where Mums are still available (mid November) but also exciting Cyclamens in a variety of pot sizes, bloom sizes and colors are rolling out. I have a small cyclamen that is still alive and blooming for the fourth season! This is not the norm, but is still a testament to the vigor that can persist from a local grower and family tradition like AJ Rahn. Poinsettias next!

Take all of my money, AJ Rahn! My thumb has been turning ever so slightly greener over the past couple months. I still feel like I have no idea what I'm doing, which made AJ Rahn a bit of an intimidating experience (holy cow, this place is huge). When we reached the back of the first greenhouse and I saw that there was a whole other greenhouse to explore I was blown away. There were SO many plants, all looking super healthy and beautiful. I hope I can keep mine looking equally as great as they were at AJ Rahn!
I especially loved the roses (which were outdoors in between the greenhouses. I

I want to like Rahn's. So many of my neighbors do. If you want houseplants, floral gifts, or bedding plants, you likely will be pleased.
But when I go for garden supplies, they manage to disappoint me. Today, I went for mulch. The person at the register, who also accompanied me outside, without distancing, was NOT wearing a mask. I was. After I paid for 12 bags of mulch, she said she hoped I could load it on my own because she was not allowed to help, because of COVID. (In truth, even before COVID, the staff was reluctant to help me out, despite my arthritic wrists.)

A Cincinnati treasure! This is my favorite greenhouse in the city. The plants are superb and while not the cheapest, you get what tou pay for. Knowledgeable staff, great selection and an adorable store. You could drive through Spring Grove cemetery & arboretum while you're around there too for gardening inspiration.

AJ Rahn offers a variety of houseplants and succulents at reasonable prices. This place offers all of the popular houseplants -- monsteras, snake plants, string of pearls, donkey's tail, jade plants, pothos, etc. Signage is clear with plant names and care details.
I appreciate the contactless checkout process. Follow the signs and leave your plants at a counter. Tap your credit card at the square reader, and you're done! I picked up two cute 4" succulents for $6.99 each. The cashier helped me place them in a paper bag so that they are safe for the car ride home. If only my apartment

LOVE this place!! So excited to get a start on this year's garden! And contrary to my husband's belief, I did leave some for others..They have such a great selection and everything is so healthy...well organized, and set up to make it as safe as possible in these crazy times...if you've been hesitant to go because of the safe distancing thing, I found it to be very safety compliant...just don't go on a Saturday morning!

This is **the spot** for Mother's Day flowers! Did zero post-production to any of the pictures I took here - it's just that beautiful! They have 3 huge greenhouses here and flowers ranging from indoor banana trees to cacti to geraniums to tomato plants. It's all beautifully cultivated and (as shown) everything is picture-perfect.

I go to Rahn's every spring with several members of my family for our spring plantings. We are all always incredibly happy with all of our plants: vegetables, herbs, and flowers. I was a little anxious about going this year because of COVID-19, but I have to say it was still a great experience. The plants were healthy as always, everyone was wearing masks, and they have set up a nice system for following social distancing guidelines. I went on a weekday, and the weather was rainy and grey, so maybe it is different at busier times, but I was really pleased by the efficiency of the lines

I visit religiously every Spring. This is a favorite of mine, AJ Rahn Greenhouse! It's absolutely a beautiful Greenhouse and there is so many varieties to choose from! From perennials to annuals and shrubs to the best variations of Roses. They have a little bit of something for everyone!
Must visit at least once! Just tucked right behind Spring Grove Cemetery. It's so worth a trip!

Update: I keep going back because the selection of houseplants is so great. Rude lady isn't always there. Each time I do see her though, she is just so unpleasant. I saw the rude lady today. As I was walking in, a black guy was exiting and she was glaring at him and then at me. All the other ladies and Michael is so nice and helpful. What is her deal? Seems like people of color are the ones with the horrible experience.

The selection of house plants is good, but one of the ladies who works there, probably the owner, is difficult to interact with. She's not exactly customer

This was one of the most well kept, beautiful greenhouses I've ever been to. My boyfriend pointed out that there was not a single wilted, yellow, brown, or dead leaf in the whole place. I was in the market for some houseplants and they had an incredible variety of plants as well as many in different stages of the growing process at a wide range of prices. The staff was very knowledgeable and helpful when I asked for tips and watering instructions. I actually heard about this place from a blogger, Sarah Belle Elizabeth, and I really loved my visit here. I can't wait to go back when I&apos

This place is a hidden gem! They have so many unique plants and the ladies that work here and so adorable and incredibly helpful. If you have any questions about any of the plants they can give you more than enough information on them! They are reasonably priced and also have some cute decorations in the front along with many different pots to choose from.
Love love love this place.
