Overall, our experience with this business was good. We had our wedding cake made here and they did an amazing job! Other than forgetting to add purple flowers to our cake, it still turned out great and when I mentioned the mistake, Kayla made it right. I understand mistakes can be made so I'm not going to make a big deal out of it because I've never had a bad experience with this place and I've gotten 2 birthday cakes and my bridal shower cake made here aside from our wedding cake. So very sad with poor quality cakes. I ordered 2 separate cakes for a family get-together (graduation and birthday). I ordered mint frosting on one. If you thought about it, you could almost taste the mint in the frosting. The other contained their signature raspberry filling. There was so little filling you could barely see the red and you couldn't even taste it. If this was the only issue I'd experienced over the last few years, I could say it was a fluke; however, the quality has slowly deteriorated over that time. We had gender reveal cupcakes made! Katie made it very easy! I told her what cupcakes we wanted, we dropped the envelope off from the doctor and they were ready the next day (we only ordered 6)! They gave us the envelope back too because it had the ultrasound scans included which we didn’t know! And the cupcakes were delicious like always!! They definitely helped make our gender reveal extra special!

We used Carols cakes for our wedding cake and they did an absolutely amazing job! I was impressed as soon as we went for our cake tasting she had 3 different flavors boxed up and ready to try and I had such a hard time choosing because they were all so delicious. I took a picture with me of what I wanted and our cake turned out even more beautiful than what I had imagined and all of our guests said how delicious it was!! They even had a separate anniversary cake wrapped up and ready to go in the freezer for us! They also sell the most delicious cupcakes and cookies too. Give this place a try and

My all time favorite is the cannoli cake. Delicious, light ricotta frosting with mini chocolate chips. Perfection!
She comes up with unique but amazing flavors. We've had the lemon mascarpone, and macerated peach..
YUM!
If you need to come up with a dessert to bring to a friends house, get a half or full dozen cupcakes in a variety of flavors and you'll be the hit of the gathering.
She did a wonderful job on cake and cupcakes for our wedding and is very nice and laid back.

My husband an I have been getting Carl's Cakes since we ordered our wedding cake from Carl 5 years ago. However recent experiences have been VERY disappointing. I have been impressed with the gorgeous floral cakes that have been produced since Carl retired, so I ordered one for my Mother-in-Laws birthday and the cake was never made. We drove all the way out to Sun Prairie, only to be told they could not find it and could not reach the manager, Nicole, which I had confirmed with her the day before pick up.

Not only was it beautiful, it had an amazing flavor. The cake was melting in my mouth, the strawberry filling was delicious & the icing was delectable.
The ordering process was a breeze due to the knowledge & suggestions from the staff.

I ordered my wedding cake from Carl's Cakes. Unfortunately, Carl sold his business and recipes. The only 2 things that were right about my wedding cake were the decoration and where it was delivered. I had a 3 tier cake and each tier was to be a different flavor that I had picked with cake tasting. Every single tier was incorrect. I have always loved Carl's recipes and was very disappointed by how horrifically the tiers were messed up. We used Carols Cakes for our wedding and it was one of the best decisions we could have made! After working and coordinating with multiple vendors, Lauren was by far the easiest to work with. She is so personable and works incredibly hard to make your dream cake a reality! All of the cake options taste amazing and communication was flawless during the planning process. I would recommend working with Lauren at Carols Cakes over and over. It was a fantastic experience and the best place to get a wedding cake!

Carol supplied the cake for my wedding last week. The cake was beautiful and delicious, and at a very reasonable price. In addition, Carol's service was wonderful; she took our order on pretty short notice, and delivered the cake to our reception site with no fuss while we were preparing our arrangements. I would highly recommend Carol's Cakes to anyone planning a wedding in Western Pennsylvania.

I am new to the area and was in need of a cake for my son's birthday. After hearing good things about Carol's Cakes I decided to give them a try. I do not mind paying more for a custom cake ($55.00) because usually the end result is a great tasting cake. However that was not the case here, in fact the cake really had very little flavor and to make matters worse the fudge filling was spread so thin that it was almost unnoticeable. The butter cream frosting was O.K., but certainly similar to any other bakery. I did give my rating 2 stars only because the cake was pretty to look at. Maybe

I am 100% the person who passes up on cake. I hate the over sweetness of the hole suger pouring into your blood stream.
But... my sister had one of these cakes made for my nephews birthday last year. And wow!
It's the icing. Never tasted anything so yummy in my life. It's not too sweet, just a perfect!
She bought an entire sheet cake for his birthday, a quarter of it was ate by family, and 3 quarters of it by me. Me going overboard on a sugary sweet is a phenomenon. It has to be good!
