While we certainly don't mind an email or a phone call, we always encourage folks to come on in to the store. Getting new shoes shouldn't be a chore, it should be an experience. The worse experience in a shoes store in FoCo. My wife and I we already bought 2 pairs of hokas in this store but since the first time when we got in the store they look first to your shoes instead of your eyes. In the first time that this happened I though ok maybe the employee just liked my shoes. Second time again, other employee looked first to my shoes and kept looking on it instead of looking to my eyes. The third time again, when I was walking through the store to the hokas shoes’s shelve all the employees didn’t look to my eyes but to my shoes. It is not polite. They treat you based

Browns is amazing. The employees are helpful, always has and always will be a pleasure buying shoes from a professional establishment... if your name is not Greg. Greg is a horrible owner of a prestigious company, treats his employees like garbage and is only in for his own benefit of money. I wish the Browns business great success, only until after Greg is gone.

I went into Brown's without much expectation that they would have the type of hiking boot I had been looking for but I was immediately impressed with their selection. Customer service was great and Laurie was very attentive and helpful in selecting a boot and finding the perfect fit. To top it off, the price I paid for an excellent pair of boots was not only reasonable, but better than online options. I would definitely shop here again.

Outstanding customer service from extremely knowledgeable associates who are patient in answering questions and finding the right shoe for your individual needs. Joel and Jake were terrific. I am from California, visiting family in Fort Collins, and I'll be sure and wait until I visit again to buy my next shoes here at Brown's. It is extremely rare to get this kind of shopping experience, shoes or otherwise, in this day and age. A terrific experience!

Great service and extended selection of Birkenstocks. I actually came in specifically looking to replace a pair of well loved thong Birkenstock's that I had worn to death. I expected to pay the typical $99-$109 as I'm hard pressed to ever find any Birks on sale. Imagine my surprise when I found the exact shoe in my size and color for $69. Woot woot. I guess they are changing out their selections and lucky day for me.

It's hard to find a larger selection of quality shoes anywhere in Northern Colorado. I have large feet and rarely find women's shoes that fit. I just wish they weren't so expensive. But you get what you pay for and they do last longer than the cheaper options.
I'm sure their staff works on commission but when they follow you around and just won't leave you alone it's a bit much.

I would have given Browns 4 stars two years ago. The past few visits have not yielded good results. This is between a poor, very mundane selection. A mix up in shoes sizes on a new pair, and salesman with and ego the size a cathedral which is not warranted. I won't be buying shoes from here again...or at least in the near future. Other stores have already been WAY better. I miss the old Brown's.

Went to Browns for their Black Friday sale. 7:00 AM to 11:00 AM entire store inventory was 20% off. No exclusions listed on ANY advertising for the sale to include mailers and internet advertisements. Got to the store at a couple minutes after 7:00 to match up a Birkenstock for my daughter that our dog chewed up. Showed the sandal to the sales representative and she immediately told me Birkenstocks were not part of the sale. Asked her manager, Josh and he said that Birkenstock wouldn't let Browns put their products on sale. Whatever!!!

They've got a great selection of brands that you cannot find anywhere else in Fort Collins, however be aware that prices can be higher than even manufacturer's prices. I asked for them to price match some sandals from the manufacturer's website and they said that no one will price match off the internet (not true, I've shopped at many places that are glad to price match off the internet). They did end up giving me a store coupon that beat the manufacturer's price, but if you are not careful you may end up paying more for a pair of shoes than you actually need to. Always

I used to love shopping here with the previous ownership but the new management has soured me. The salesmen stalk you while shopping, even after putting on shoes to try on making me very uncomfortable. I bought two pair to take home and try out since I couldn't really do that at the store without a shadow and when I brought back the pair I didn't want they wouldn't return them. That's $120 + tax I'm out and will never return

Awesome selection, but selective customer service. I went in for a pair of Taos, and was glad to find them but unfortunately no one seemed to want to help me. Other customers entering were greeted and asked what they were looking for, I was ignored outside of one clerk joking if I was going to "buy all the boots". No... but I would've at least bought one if I could get the time of day.

If you are looking to purchase new shoes, this is the store in Fort Collins you should consider. I just purchased shoes at Brown's Shoe Fit Co. yesterday. The staff were friendly and courteous. Scott V. help me with my selection. He was very helpful and knowledgeable. Scott kept asking if the shoes I tried were comfortable; he was asking about fit. And we found the right pair and style.
The store displayed athletic, casuals, seasonal, and dress shoes both in men's and women's. In addition, they were displaying socks, purses and sunglasses.

Purchased three pairs of shoes today from the owner, Jim. While I went in knowing specifically what I was looking for, the service was still very attentive and accommodating. I would highly recommend this store for anyone looking for a specific shoe. Being in the service industry, I truly appreciate their selection of Dansko's (probably the largest in Fort Collins). They also carry a large selection of Olu Kai, one of my favorite--and hard to find--shoe and sandal manufacturers.
