Words cannot begin to express the gratitude we feel for taking care of my mom in her final days. At Mission House, she was totally at peace and surrounded not only by her loving family, but a nurturing, loving staff. We are a local, independent nonprofit organization serving patients and families in the San Francisco Peninsula and South Bay with personalized, compassionate end-of-life care and education.

I am so proud to work in a place where the spirit is all about what's best for the patient & family! Being part of the Mission Hospice team feels like coming home. There is no greater feeling than knowing you play an important role in something far greater than yourself. I really love hospice. You spend so much time with the families, and you can make a big difference in their lives.

We are proud of the long legacy of San Mateo County's first hospice program - here's a look at our organization through the years since our founding in 1979.
Every patient is unique, and every illness progresses differently. That's why our continuum of care model is so important. It allows us to provide patients the same support network and high quality care regardless of how Medicare classifies them during that last stage of life. It's about life! Mission Hospice helps patients live life to the fullest, offering comfort and compassion for those with life-limiting illnesses.

Please contact us to discuss how Mission Hospice & Home Care can help you and your family. Our Transitions program helps patients and families adapt to the changes that accompany living with a serious illness - changes that can be difficult and confusing. Transitions offers supportive services to patients with life-limiting illness who are not yet physically or emotionally ready for hospice.

I wrote the following letter to Mission Hospice and Home Care.
I am writing to thank your organization and its caregivers for the kind, compassionate, and exemplary care they gave my mother during the last 5 weeks of her life at Mills Estate Villa. The Nurse, Linda Corell, Social Worker, Tess Murphy, and the Spiritual Counselor, Rachel Rosenberg were truly wonderful as they cared for my mother and never hesitated to offer and give me support as needed.
Caring and communication were two things that were obvious in my day to contact with the Hospice Team. Linda would send me pictures of my mom

I can’t thank Mission Hospice enough for great support during overwhelming multiple losses. Your great care and support groups over Christmas, you are just the kindest, the very very best! Your advice to wait to be a volunteer myself was right on, What you provide must be very careful, so important to be mindful and really there! Thank you against all odds! YOU DON”T KNOW; YOU WERE THE ONLY SOURCE OF STABILITY I HAD, YOU WERE THE ONLY ONES THAT STUCK BY ME, I WAS ALONE EXCEPT FOR YOU! Margaret...

My mom received terrific care both in her home and through the opportunity to stay at a hospice home in her final days. She was treated with care, dignity and respect and her final time with us was made better because she was doing it her way. Can't say enough about the wonderful caregivers, office staff and physicians who cared for my mom. Thank you so much for everything.
