We are a fully equipped medical facility offering comprehensive medical, dental, and surgical care.
We are a small animal hospital with a small staff that practices large quality medicine. We are privately owned, which takes the corporate cookie cutter approach out of our care.

Dr. Harris became the proud owner of Trenton Veterinary Hospital in August of 2011 after practicing in Oakland County for 6 years. Dr. Harris knew at a very young age that she wanted to be a veterinarian. She comes from a family who has a love for animals and grew up with dogs, cats, horses, guinea pigs, rabbits and birds.
We at Trenton Veterinary Hospital understand that anesthesia can be nerve racking for owners. We will make sure to know your pet's complete history before the anesthetic event. The vaccine history, lifestyle, and any medication your pet takes all influence how they may respond to anesthesia.
We will perform pre-surgical examination and diagnostic tests that help identify any underlying conditions that should be addressed before your dog undergoes anesthesia.Chemistry tests to evaluate kidney, liver, and pancreatic function, as well as sugar levels. Electrolyte tests to ensure your dog isn't dehydrated or suffering from an electrolyte imbalance.

Saying good-bye to your pet is the hardest thing you have to do as a pet owner. We at Trenton Veterinary Hospital want to help you with this process by talking with you to determine if euthanasia is the most humane thing to do for your pet at this time. We will evaluate their quality of life together and guide you through this difficult time.
An annual physical exam is a vital part of maintaining a healthy, happy, and long life for your dog or cat. Since animals age faster than people do and can't communicate when they are not feeling well, your veterinarian will gain valuable insights into the health of your dog. Our skilled team will perform a nose to tail examination of your pet.

Dr. Harris saved my dog’s life many years ago. He had swallowed an unknown object and was misdiagnosed by two other veterinarians. I drove two hours, each way, to see Dr. Harris. She did emergency exploratory… surgery and saved his life! He had swallowed a pet finger-tip toothbrush without me knowing. I was able to keep Oscar with me for another 7 years, thanks to Dr. Harris. She is the most wonderful vet!! Thank you for all the extra time I had with Oscar. It meant the world to me! He lived a healthy, happy life until 16 years old and I loved him for every minute of it.

I've been looking for a vet I loved for several years. I knew within the first 10 minutes that Dr. Harris was who I was looking for. She is personable, and answered all of my questions thoroughly. I left feeling like we had a good plan in place for my dog during a scary time. The staff greeted my dog, and took extra steps to help her feel less nervous. The office is clean, and they had relaxing music playing in the exam rooms, too.
