SOMA Skin & Laser is a dermatology practice founded in 2011 by board-certified dermatologist Dr. Michael Ehrenreich. Hair loss in men and women can have multiple causes. The first step in addressing your hair loss is a medical visit to determine if there are any underlying causes that contribute to your hair loss. This can include hormonal imbalances, anemia, autoimmune disease and various metabolic disorders. A physical exam will be conducted and lab tests or a scalp biopsy conducted as needed.
A keloid is an excessive response to injury that can give rise to large unsightly scars that can also itch or hurt. Sometimes they start at a site of injury, but sometimes a specific injury is not noted. They can begin in acne lesions as well, especially on the chest and back. Although keloids can be treated with intralesional injections of steroids or other medications, sometimes excision is the only alternatives.
A lipoma is a benign fatty tumor. It is the most common soft-tissue tumor. It usually presents as a fleshy nodule, typically a few centimeters in diameter but sometimes much larger. They are sometimes painful, but usually are asymptomatic. Most often lipomas are of cosmetic concern. Lipomas are often singular, but sometimes multiple lipomas are present, sometimes as part of an inherited condition.
In liposuction, a defined deposit of fat is aspirated with a cannula and removed from the body. It is performed for cosmetic reasons to improve the shape and contour of the body and remove stubborn fat deposits. I had a wonderful experience here with Dr E. I received Botox after a very thorough discussion and evaluation of my photos. The process was transparent (closed vial, opened in front of me and not diluted) and I appreciated the honesty and recommendations of Dr E. A little more expensive (price per unit) than some of the other practices in the area but I feel like this physician is a skilled injector and more conservative than ones I've been to in the past making it 1000% worth it for me! Great staff too!

Polite Receptionist, clean reception area and room.
RUDE Dr.! No bedside manners. Very cut and dry. He seemed annoyed to have a Patient.
Very sarcastic when I pointed one more skin tag - his response was "You couldn't tell me when I was injecting the other area!?
I was surprised at his demeaning ways, I told him to disregard and I will make another appointment.
He responded "well you are here already!"
Will not make any other appointments nor recommend anyone.
Very disappointed.

Always a great experience. Sent my daughter today, her earring was stuck in her ear lobe. Dr. E is attentive and fast, willing to help with most any issue. Not a good place to go as a patient.
For a black head removal the doctor charged or billed my insurance as surgery. I think that constitutes insurance fraud. Which came to about couple hundred and my deductible was $126.
This is for a black head removal on my nose. All doctor would say during his short performance using a balled scalpel like tool is that I could not have done it myself. No further testing or pathology lab work on the black head.
I was worried about it since I golf a lot.
Just simple technique, using the tool, 2 min of work and he dares to charge as surgery billable item

Felt informed and in the know about my condition. My concerns were all addressed and I was there for a mole re-check. They also fit me right in. Nice office and beautiful decor with a newly designed and renovated feel. Chill office vibes with nice magazines selection in the waiting room. I'm giving Soma a three star for right now because this was my first session and I don't want the excitement of finally getting something done overwhelm me. I know results aren't promised but I have a feeling this place is all about getting the money, trust me I would know and I don't blame them. I do plan on continuing my sessions but I also will stop if there's no progression.The overall atmosphere was great everyone was very helpful and kind. I went in for a consultation on tattoo removal hoping they could start today and they were able to. The process was very fast

I came here for a dermatological issue my toddler daughter was experiencing. I knew exactly what was happening and shared it with Dr. Michael (forgot how to sleep his last name). Dr. Michael understood the logic in what I suggested but didn't do any testing on my daughter to make sure. He did send a prescription for her to our pharmacy; but I don't feel like the root of the issue plaguing her will be resolved. So that's quite disappointing. I took my teen daughter to SOMA Skin and Laser to find some help for a monster case of acne. It was so bad that she was being teased in school. We had tried another dermatologist before that, and all we got were some face wipes and a request to return at some point.

Dr. Ehrenreich was incredible. I had been to 4 different dermatologist and/or podiatrists over the course of 3 years in order to get rid of a plantars wart on my foot. With the previous unsuccessful doctors, one tried injecting a form of cancer treatment, another tried freezing, burning, cutting out, another tried laser, ugh!
Dr. Ehrenreich was extremely knowledgeable and when he mentioned he would get rid of it with laser I told him that had been tried before. He made exact arguments for why his method was likely to be successful.
After four sessions I am happy say I am plantar wart free.

My daughter and I recently visited SOMA Skin & Laser after visiting another nearby dermatologists outfit. Dr. E. took time examining my daughter's skin before diagnosing and treating her skin. He talked us through the possible source of the issue and what we can do to limit re-occurence while providing immediate treatment. I could not ask for better service. Love the updated aesthetics of the office and his support staff was very attentive.

I normally don't post negative reviews, but I feel I need to forwarn people. This place took my money and did absolutely nothing for my situation. When I refused to continue any more services, there was a small balance due owed by the insurance company, which I was hoping they'd waive, but when I refused to pay it, they had the audacity to put a judgment against me and garnish my hudband's pay check. After tacking on court fees, we ended up paying 3x more then we owed on the small remaining balance. By no means am I trying to get back at them. We did in fact owe the bal, but

I went into Soma for a dermatology issue (rash) with Dr. Ehrenreich.
The first visit was just consultation (which I was not aware of) and it lasted less than 10 minutes. I felt like his hand was on the door to leave the entire time.
The next few visits were just as short because they were testing me for skin allergies. I will say - They DO go above and beyond with scheduling.
My test results did not show anything so Dr. Ehrenreich pinned it on the vague "eczema". They told me to call them if I continued to feel itchy. (Of course I did... there was no treatment at all).

I recently visit your office on Saturday march 2, 2014 with my sister. Note that I have visited Soma in the past at least three times and I have dealt with Doctor Ramaswamy. However on Saturday I have the unfortunately luck of dealing with Dr. Michael Ehrenreich on Saturday morning who is the founder of Soma. I have no idea how he was awarded the best kids doctor in 2012, because he has very little patience dealing with my 17 year old sister who was just trying laser for the first time and was honestly fearful of the procedure

This is a review primarily about the customer service; as I was unable to receive any actual treatment, despite three confirmations that this appointment would be a consultation AND treatment.
I should have read between the lines (the secretary was incredibly curt while I was trying to book an appointment) and gone elsewhere, but I figured she was just having a bad day.
When I arrived for my appointment, I was not greeted by either of the 2 women sitting behind the reception desk (maybe they were both having a bad day again); I was not asked my name or what my appointment was for, but was immediately

Excellent dermatological practice. Dr. Ehrenreich is pleasant and has a great sense of humor to put you at ease while having embarrassing procedures. The staff is ultra friendly and the offices are high tech and really nice. From the outside you expect a mediocre office in an old medical building but inside it's truly Nip Tuck. Love this place and I highly recommend.

I visited Soma to deal with about eleven of those grossenating things that men develop at my age -- just weird little nubs that all of a sudden appear on your body and make you feel like your dad. Dr. Ehrenreich did a masterful, painless, quick job of removing them and restoring my original beauty. So that's the main thing.
