Vern's Glass was started in 1957 by Vern and Mickee James. Along with their son, Vern Jr., and incredible work ethic, they built a business that has stood the test of time. Vern James started in the glass business down in San Bernardino when he was just a youngster. In 1957 they moved to Lucerne Valley where Vern worked for Lucerne Valley Glass.
It wasn't long after that same year that Vern and Mickee began Vern's Mobile Glass. They set up shop in rural Apple Valley and traveled to people's homes or commercial buildings to perform their services. For the next 20 years, they worked hard and saved their money. They bought property on Anacapa Road in Victorville, hoping to one day build a new building there.

I was very disappointed with the sour attitude and treatment we encountered with the staff. They wanted to overcharge us because we lived in Helendale. At least they returned the money that we paid before they started the job. They clearly did not want to do the job. It was a simple single panne window replacement, but they acted like it was antique stained glass, and the price was insane. My car windshield cost half of what they were charging for a 12” by 36” piece of glass.

From the start of this process Vern’s glass has been professional and friendly. Reminding me of the reason why we support our local businesses here in the desert. Their prices are so reasonable that we decided to upgrade more of the house windows then intended. Chris and Tyler are the best, fast and the work is top notch. Highly recommend Verns glass

My experience was horrible unfortunately we had issues with our screen door that was placed along with our sliding door. The second time around that I had to call to report my issue I was given the worst customer service I have ever been given by an employee. The receptionist Denna was extremely rude. After recalling the previous issue we had with the door she began to tell me that we must be doing something goofy to the door in order for us to continue having problems. A customer should never feel belittled or attacked. The men that came to place the door were phenomenal at their job, but unfortunately

I had a great experience with Vern's Glass. I order new screens door for my 5 sliding glass doors. Dena was awesome and super helpful. She got someone sent to my house right away to measure. They measure my screen doors and I had new ones right away. So glad I choose this company. Will do business with them again soon.

Vern's Glass was so professional, fast, knowledgeable and polite! I needed to replace my glass closet door, I called on Monday to inquire about prices, confirmed with them Tuesday, by Friday my door was done and installed in less than 5 mins. Will definitely be going back for any other glass needs I might have. Deena was great as well!

On the stormy morning I accidentally broken the glass door to our wood burning stove. At first it appeared the wood burning stove would be out of commission for a week if I ordered the glass from the stove manufacturer. It was suggested to have the glass replaced by a local glass shop. After making a few calls, I decided to use Vern's Glass Shop. Boy, was I glad I did....the service was excellent, the staff was most helpful, the glass was installed in less than one hour and we were able to have an evening fire. Thanks so much!

Thank you! We contacted Vern's Glass because the doors at two of our school locations were either in the process of breaking, or weren't operating smoothly. At first, the quotes were kind of surprising but based on prior recommendations from staff we hung in there.
WOW! You will be impressed with Vern's Glass. Their repair man was on time and very courteous, even during the high traffic parts of the day when a bunch of students were entering and leaving the school site. They not only repaired the items on the original work order but threw in a new door felt at no charge.

I called Vern's when we were in a crisis. My moms
Slider Door had been broken by someone throwing a boulder threw it. They were out within hours to board it up And give an estimate. Door arrived swiftly once we ordered. Ray for the board up and I believe Dave ( for the install) were both great. I spoke to Josh when I first called and he was awesome as well! Kind, professional and efficient.All around great experience. In a day and age when customer service seems to be at an all time low in many businesses, it is refreshing to have excellent service and I'm happy to recommend Vern&apos

I'll tell you what! As a contractor that's worked with dozens of other contractors over the years. This was by far the absolute best experience I've ever had. The two installers that worked on a house I'm flipping are some of the most professional people I've ever worked with. I'm the kind of guy that follows people around and has to make sure they are doing the right thing for me. Let's just say the next home I work on.
