With our dedicated team, let us address your health concerns with our experience, education, and empathy. We can be your Primary Care Provider (PCP) collaborating with all allied health professionals. Emerald City Naturopathic Clinic and Chief Medical Officer and owner, Dr. Molly Niedermeyer, provides experienced and compassionate naturopathic care.

The doctors offer primary health care by blending centuries old knowledge of natural non-toxic therapies with current knowledge in health and the human system. Health is defined as "Freedom from Limitations." We are only as healthy as the environment we live in be it physical, emotional, or spiritual.
Services
All patients/clients need to choose their physician based on their individual needs. Emerald City Clinic has 900 'active' patient charts. The clients we attract tend to be individuals seeking answers to their health questions and desiring to participate actively in their health care. The consumer is coming to us seeking this opportunity, and we are dedicated to providing it.
Catherine is a nearly native Seattleite after living in here for over forty years. She came to the clinic after a thirty year career as a federal employee. Catherine grew up in Los Angeles during the worst air climate time. As a result, she suffered from bronchitis frequently during the winters even after moving to the cleaner air of the Northwest.
A house must be built on solid foundations if it is to last. The same principle applies to man, otherwise he too will sink back into the soft ground and become swallowed up by the world of illusion. Seeing a naturopathic doctor for the first time may shock you. Much of what an ND will prescribe must be done after you leave the visit, at home, every day.
I graduated in 1984 from John Bastyr College of Naturopathic Medicine with my doctorate degree, and completed my midwifery degree in 1985. I have wanted to be a doctor since I was 6 years old and am grateful to have found my profession. I believe that becoming a doctor is a 'calling' and I hold myself and my staff to the highest standard of quality and compassionate health care.
Dr. Paris Preston was born and raised in the Berkshire Mountains of New England. There she developed a deep and abiding love of nature. She went to the University of Massachusetts and received her BS in Zoology. In 1988 she moved to Seattle to follow a call of the heart to go to Naturopathic Medical School.

I have seen Molly since she was the midwife at my son's birth, over 30 years ago. She is kind, straightforward, empathetic, practical, a good diagnostician, and an all around good person. I feel fortunate to have a primary care practitioner who sees my humanity, who challenges me, who spends enough time to really get to the bottom of things. Thank you, Molly.

I think very highly of Dr. Preston. She's kind, sensitive and attuned for patient care. As of today, I've had one consultation with her and will return for a second visit within the next two weeks.

My initial appointment with her was two hours, YES two hours long. Which in this day and age I find pretty remarkable. She looked at me when she asked questions, listened when I responded - basically I felt as if I was seen.

I don't have "major" medical issues, however I do need to work on getting my weight down and we will be working on addressing thyroid / energy concerns

ECC has changed my life. My doctor, and the two others I've interacted with, are fantastic. Everyone on the staff is really kind and there's no way you could be nervous here, so homey!

I saw Dr. Preston for the first time about a year ago. I was having some digestive issues, she had me do the full food allergy test (which was rather pricey), and based on the results recommended I stay off gluten, dairy, and a few other things for 3 months. I did, and my trouble cleared up beautifully. She also had some good recommendations for vitamin D and fermented skate liver oil, and some other diet things. She really does spend a lot of time with you, asks all kinds of questions and tries to get the whole picture of your emotional/physical situation.

Unfortunately, I have had a disagreement

Emerald City Clinic is the warmest friendliest doctor's office I've ever been in. The Dr.'s there will literally spend 2 hours with you going over your health since your last visit, explaining treatment options, helping you choose the best options for you, and being realistic about how greatly someone can alter their lifestyle. They also offer an amazing sliding scale program and lots of educational events. This clinic offers the best health care I've ever received.

I've been a patient of Dr. Preston's for 11 years. She is our family doctor, and I can't imagine trusting the health of my family to any other doctor. When I was crazed with anxiety over my young daughter's high fevers, for example, she would call me at home to check on us. Through my own prolonged illness and eventual recovery, Dr. Preston was persistent, patient and always good humored. Perhaps most importantly, she figured out what was wrong with me when no one else could. She is brilliant, funny, patient, kind, optimistic. She listens so well, and takes the time to

I really like Dr. Preston. You may ask why such a low star rating? I'm rating the whole experience I get with her and her office.
Dr. Preston is friendly and really does listen to everything and tries to do the best to solve those problems naturally.
The front desk gal is a whole other side of friendly. She is rude, doesn't say hello, good bye or even thank you. While waiting for Dr. Preston I heard her talk to a patient and told her there is no way she could have a sinus infection because she was able to talk on the phone, then proceeded to contact the doctor the patient wanted to

The praises written by other reviewers are all true.
I have been going to Dr. Preston for years after getting fed up with the MD system. She is professional, intelligent, kind, committed, caring, and curious. Going to her office is much like I would imagine going to a family doctor used to be. She takes her time with you and is patient, when she doesn't know something, she will research it. If you need to visit a specialist, she will refer you to an excellent network of doctors. I highly recommend her!!

I hardly know how to praise Dr. Preston enough with mere words.
She is knowledgeable, truly caring, personable, and kind.
She spends time really listening and talking with you about your health and life. If you have any questions and leave her a message she returns your phone calls at the end of her workday.

She balances Alternative/Complementary approaches with Western/allopathic medicine. She is positive in her interactions with you, not judgmental.

Dr. Preston is helping me immeasureably with a chronic illness and I continue to feel better and better with her assistance.

I am so glad I found Dr. Preston. She is a wonderful doctor, understanding and helpful, knowledgeable and insightful. Her office is comfortable, and when I am with her I feel that she was very present with me. The only frustrating thing about the office is that it is very hard to get through when calling and I am often put on hold, but my experience with Dr. Preston and my confidence in her ability are very positive.

Ten things I love about my naturopath, Dr. Paris Preston:
1) She listens. A lot. I was actually in the office for over an hour today, and that hour wasn't spent in the waiting room reading obsolete celebrity magazines.
2) She is respectful.
3) She is very knowledgeable.
4) She can translate her knowlege into terms a patient understands.
5) She's quirky. Take one look at her desk and you'll wonder how she finds anything on it.
6) She has a great 'bedside' manner. When I'm describing symptoms from a chronic condition I've had for over a year, she doesn't
