Lighthouse Diving Center
Lighthouse Diving Center is one of the oldest SCUBA Schools in the United States, with tens of thousands of certified divers having gone through our school. Many industry professionals originally learned SCUBA diving from Lighthouse, or were former employees of Lighthouse. Lighthouse has the best and largest inventory of any dive store in the Northwest with huge selections and great prices.

We carry only the top brands in the scuba industry and lead with brands that conceive, design, manufacture and distribute their own original products (see brand list below). We service everything we sell, and then some. Our service and repair facility is so well respected in the industry; a few major manufacturers asked us to help with product testing and R&D.

Wanted to get certified in Seattle and ended up choosing NAUI at Lighthouse over PADI at Seattle Scuba because I liked that NAUI was a non-profit and that they apparently included more first aid training. Unfortunately this spot just didn't match my learning style. Classes involve 2 - 6 hour lectures where they describe what to do, then you drive to a pool and students are asked to do what was described. I can totally appreciate that when you've been diving for your whole career, it can get frustrating when newbies don't pick up everything immediately and need more repetition than a onetime classroom

My wife and I had a very positive experience with the lighthouse diving center for our open water dive cert's. Their prices were really fair, both for instruction and the equipment purchases we made(I compared them with online options and their prices were as good or better than what I could find online). The class included rental items and there was never a time where we incurred an unexpected cost once we signed up for the class. The instruction was great. Our instructor was professional, knowledgeable, experienced and very patient. We would definitely recommend using them. We will continue to

I had a great experience getting my open water SCUBA certification here. Jackie was an excellent instructor and took every precaution to make her students feel safe and confident diving!

Love this place. My 13 year old got certified yesterday. Her instructor Andrew showed incredible patience as she struggled through to read the Naui Dive Table for her check out dive. Andrew showed persistence very few people have, circling back numerous times in a calm gentle way as she (characteristically tearfully) struggled and struggled (hoping someone would give her the answer)-nope-not Andrew--moments later (while I wanted to scream)...like a ray of sunshine through storm clouds, a smile spread across her face as she "got it!"--it was amazing to watch. I LOVE witnessing people in their element

Went diving at magnuson park when my dive buddy's high pressure hose blew while doing our surface prep.. Googled dive shops and they were the top of the list. A+ service

They've always been extremely helpful in their sponsorship of the University of Washington's Human Powered Submarine Team. Their staff is always very friendly and knowledgeable about the gear they are selling.
I have not taken any classes with them.

Never taken a dive course there, so I can't comment on that, but all of the store staff is knowledgeable and nice. They are really supportive of local dive clubs (particularly student groups at the UW) with discounts and expertise. Brought my gear in for annual servicing, and the work is done at about the going rate for that sort of thing. All work is done offsite, which makes the lead time about 2 weeks, but that's about as good as most other places.
Only complaint is that they generally seem pretty short-staffed: pretty sure just one guy is in the shop at a time. Their process for servicing

Lighthouse Diving is a great dive shop that always has its best interest for the customer. I took the basic basic open water scuba certification with Jim and Tim and they provided outstanding service, very well knowledgeable, never rush into things and take each chapter one step at a time. Prices are reasonable, able to work deals with possible packages. Can provide adequate info on dive sites. Definitely one of the higher recommended dive shops to go to if you need something dive related.
